Marion E. Blankenhorn, 89 passed away Thursday, May 23 at the Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville, PA after a battle with cancer.

Marion was born in Pottsville, PA on March 10, 1930, daughter of the late John K. and M. Elizabeth Schuettler Blankenhorn.

She graduated from Pottsville High School in 1948.

Marion lived her entire life in Pottsville mostly on N. 2nd St. and more recently the Michael Close High Rise.

Marion cherished her family and church was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked at the Pottsville Box Factory, Argo Mills, Piercing Pagoda and DE Jones.

Marion was predeceased by her partner of 60+ years Joseph ‘Chuck’ Kline.

She is preceded in death by her brother Carl J. Blankenhorn, sister Marguerite Lindenmuth and brother Kenneth C. Blankenhorn.

She is survived by sister in law Yvonne 'Snowy' (Adams) Blankenhorn of Elizabethtown, PA widow of brother Kenneth C. Blankenhorn. Marion had 8 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at noon Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch Streets, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 11:00 A.M. till time of service. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 300 W. Arch Street, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Arrangements are under the care of James B. Humphrey, F.D. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Mildred Panikarchuck, 87, Frackville, passed away peacefully early Friday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville

Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Damiter Wilinsky. Millie worked as a trimmer for the former Charles Rabin Garment Factory in Frackville until her retirement.

Millie was a member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, and was also very active in the Frackville Area Senior Citizens and the Frackville Elks BPOE 1533.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Panikarchuck in 1980; her sister, Eva Homa; her brothers: Michael, John, George and Walter Wilinsky.

Millie is survived by her sister Rose Kolos, Frackville and nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday May 28th from St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Petro Zvarych, pastor as the celebrant. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A Panakyda service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in Mildred’s name, to the memorial fund of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church at 243 S. Middle Street Frackville, PA 17931
