Virginia C. (Kowalik) Subolish, wife, mother, sister, of Fairview Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2019, at home in the loving care of her husband of twenty-nine years, Emil M. Subolish at the age of 70.

Born Thursday, November 11, 1948 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Francis C., and Elizabeth T. (Jadosh) Kowalik.

Surviving are daughter, Lynn Connolly and her husband Dan of Ruckersville, VA, sister, Elizabeth Sabol wife of Edward of Barnesville ; grand children, Stephanie, James, Nicholas, and Joshua.

A 1966 graduate of Mahanoy City High School, Virginia was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua. She was a homemaker.

A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated at 11 o'clock AM on Friday June 7, 2019 from St John XXIII R.C.C. located at 301 Pine Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 E. Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Interment St. Casimir's R.C.C. Cemetery Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania.

Alvin J. "Chippy" Nunemacher, 65 of Pottsville, Pennsylvania died on Friday, May 31, 2019, at home.

Born Tuesday, July 21, 1953 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Russell, and Ruth (Blew) Nunemacher. Al was also predeceased by; his wife, Barbara A. "Babs" (Jones) Nunemacher on Sept. 21, 2018; brothers, David and Norman Nunemacher.

Surviving are sisters, Barbara Kuhns and her husband Kenneth of New Ringgold, Debra F. Cassidy of Pottsville, and Daryl Tertel of Hegins; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Al.

Al worked for William Hemstreet of Allentown as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed camping, and the outdoors. Al was a long time member of the Schuylkill County Road Hawgs motorcycle club.

Susan Marion Bovidge, 68, of Dauphin, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 28, 2019 at home after courageously battling ovarian cancer for three years.
Susan and her family would like to thank Dr. Edward Podczaski and the caring nurses and medical staff at the Ortenzio Cancer Center in Mechanicsburg for the treatment and care they provided.
She was born on January 9, 1951, in Ashland, Pennsylvania to Marion and Vincent O’Hearn. She graduated from Cardinal Brennan High School in 1969 and married John Bovidge in 1975. Prior to locating to the Harrisburg area in 1989, Susan worked for Herbein Electric in Ashland for several years. She was employed by Community Banks, NA in Dauphin and then for PennDot in Harrisburg, where she was a supervisor until her retirement in 2011. She was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan; enjoyed taking cruises all over the world and loved animals, especially dogs.
Susan will be greatly missed by her husband of 44 years, John and her daughter Amanda; her brothers Vincent, James (Nancy) and Gene (Sara) O’Hearn; nieces Bonnie O’Hearn and Laurie Campbell; nephews Michael, Mark, Ted, Todd and Casey O’Hearn and Michael Bovidge; “Daughter #2” Gretchen Rupp and her rescue dog, Taz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Edward and Richard O’Hearn and her sister Marianna O’Hearn.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Dauphin with Reverend Paul Clark officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fountain Springs, PA and a luncheon will be held at the Fountain Springs Country Inn. Arrangements are by Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc. Ashland. Peggynan Turner Klock Dunn
, 73, of Quakertown, PA passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at her home. 

Born October 1, 1945 in Fountain Springs, PA the daughter of the late William Turner and Susanne (Fisher) Gardy. 

Peggy graduated from Ashland Area Joint High School in 1963 and later Peirce College with an associate’s degree in Business Administration. She worked as a legal secretary in administration for many years. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls and Order of Eastern Star. She loved to travel and lived in Costa Rica for some time where she taught English. She enjoyed horseback riding and has won many awards including best in shows. 

Along with her parents, preceding Peggy in death was her husband: Jonathan Dunn, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter: Susan Klock of Quakertown, PA. Sons: David “Chip” Klock of Chalfont, PA; and Jimmy Dunn of Pasadena, MD. Cousins: Susann wife of John Wertz and family of Newtown, PA; and Debbie Paskey of VA. Grandchildren: Christian, Kendra, and Sydney Jackson. Best friend: Shirley Kaminski and family. Many other friends also survive. 

Special thanks from the family to Dr. Bruce Richmond and caretaker Mitzie Vilton for all they have done. 

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland with Rev. Allen Helwig. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, June 8 at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home.

Martha K. Golca, 81, of Pottsville , passed away on Friday evening at York Terrace, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, on September 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Kerezsi) Kaplar.

She was a 1955 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School, where she was the Class Salutatorian.

Martha is a member of St. Michael The Archangel, Minersville, where she belonged to the Ladies Guild. She was a former member of St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Saint Clair and Mary Queen of Peace, Pottsville.

She worked at the Yorkville Branch of Pennsylvania National Bank and retired as a real estate agent with Frank Gownley Realtors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph, who was killed in WW2 and William; sisters: Elizabeth Parobek and Mary Ann Albo. She was the last living member of her immediate family.

Martha is survived by her husband, Edward, to whom she was married 54 years; niece, Kimberly Miller, of Orwigsburg; nephews: Scott Parobek, of Schuylkill Haven; Jeff Albo, of Pottsville; Vince Albo, of CA; and Joseph Parobek, of Hegins; great nieces and nephews: Alex Miller; Zachary, Nicholas, Justin and Andrew Parobek; Mariella and Bianca Albo.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.

Elliott Michael Gordon, infant son of Geoffrey M. and Sherry L. Prutzman Gordon passed away peacefully in his parents arms Tuesday at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

He was born on May 21, 2019 at Reading Hospital.

He is preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, George Prutzman. Surviving are maternal grandmother, Connie Lempfert, Pottsville; paternal grandparents, Sandy and Edward Gordon, Pottsville; aunts, Georgian Prutzman, Pottsville; Christina McPeek, Altoona; Kelly Reinersten, and her husband TJ, Memphis, TN; Uncle Travis Welfel, Pottsville.

Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday at 11:30AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:30AM until the time of services. Doreen Diane Holmes, 62, of Louck Rd., Pine Grove, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at home.

Born on October 9, 1956 in Shawano, WI, she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Edna Teske Buettner.
She attended Northeast Technical College, Green Bay, WI, where she studied Graphic Arts.
Preceding her in death was a sister Faye Jung.
Doreen was a "Great Wife" to her husband of 31 years 5 months, Daniel Holmes.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Heather Holmes and Bob Draheim of Menasha, WI and their children, Jada, Nadia, and Logan Draheim; son Joshua and wife Amanda Holmes of Debary, FL and their children, Wyatt Daniel and Tobias Dexter Holmes; brother, Allen and wife Nancy Buettner of Gresham, WI and their family, Jason Buettner of Gresham, WI, Ryan and wife Joylyn Malueg of Green Bay, WI, Tony and Mindy Walker of Wausau, WI, Craig Malueg of Bear Creek, WI; brother-in-law Edgar Jung, III of Clintonville,WI and his family, Edgar IV and wife Angela Jung of Caroline, WI, Cathy and husband Mike Michonski, Jr., Elmer Jung and Eric Jung, all of Clintonville, WI.
