Thomas J. Whah, Sr., 35, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 26th, suddenly, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Thomas was born in Quakake, PA on October 23, 1983, a son of Deborah (King) Whah and Joseph G. Whah, Sr.

He most recently employed as a Forklift Operator at Tyson Foods, Highridge.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family. His children were his pride and joy. He was very full of energy and had a hard time sitting still. He enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities.

Thomas is survived by his three children, Halie Whitaker, Thomas Whah, Jr. and Alyssa Whah all of Mahanoy City. Thomas is also survived by his three siblings, Joseph G. Whah, Jr. of West Hazleton, Maria Whah of Mahanoy City, and Corina Whah of Mount Carmel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Cheryl Ann Boyer, 62 years of age of Lewistown Valley, Tamaqua Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.

Born Wednesday, May 8, 1957 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late William J., and E. Laverne (Evans) Miller. She was also predeceased by her husband Lowell W. Boyer on Jan. 28, 2008

Surviving are; sons, Benjamin L. Boyer and his wife Amanda of Tamaqua, Jeremy D. Boyer and his wife Jessica of Hamburg; sister, Jeanne M. Koch wife of David of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Danika, Abel, Lydia, and Eleanor; nephews and nieces also survive her.

A Panther Valley High School graduate, Cheryl had worked at Koch's Farm Service for many years. She enjoyed riding her horses and breeding Rottweilers. Cheryl was an active member of the West Penn 4-H Club.

Mary L. (Lesher) Harris, 77, of Pottsville passed away Wednesday at ManorCare, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, on October 20, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Luther Lee and Sarah Marion (Hewes) Lesher.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and was an active member in the Pottsville Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed going on bus trips to Atlantic City and loved walking in downtown Pottsville, especially for her daily cup of coffee at Roma. She loved family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Elmer E. Harris; brother, Staff Sgt. Robert Lesher; sisters, Sandra Murphy and Joy Zsweizig.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas, Joseph, Michael husband of Jennifer, and Antonio husband of Charlene all Lesher; daughters, Apryl Lesher wife of Tom Wallace and Dionne Harris; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Steffanic; beloved friend, Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends may call from 10AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Marie Augestine Ackers, 75, of Schuylkill Haven, died Monday June 24, 2019 at Providence Place, Pottsville. Born in McAdoo, November 13, 1943, She was a daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Polymack) Yatsula. She was a graduate of McAdoo High School. Marie retired after working many years as a Deli and Produce Manager for ACME markets.

She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Pierogi Maker, and volunteer for the flea market. She was honored by the Knights of Columbus for her volunteer work. Marie will be remembered for her feisty spirit and her caring and giving nature. Marie loved to be outdoors and took great pride in cutting her grass and weeding her flowerbeds. Her love for others was expressed in her baking of her famous apple cakes.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Ackers in 2015. They were married for 31 years and enjoyed traveling. Marie is survived by her friend Debby Panchari and her family; nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair, PA 17970. Msgr. William F. Glosser will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, at the above address. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, St. Clair.

Krissty Reich, 36, formerly of Girardville, passed away unexpectedly on June 21st.

Born in Valparaiso, IN, she was a daughter of the late Terry Goodman. Krissty was employed as an assistant manager for Dunkin Donuts, Harrisburg.

Krissty is survived by her four loving children: Haley DeBell, Ryan, Christopher and Nathan Mitchell; her companion George Mitchell; her maternal grandfather, Donald Goodman; several half brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be announced.

Wayne P. Felker, 76, of Summit Hill, PA passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital Miners Campus, Coaldale, PA.

Born February 17, 1943 in Ashland, PA the son of the late Robert A. and Mae M. (Spiece) Felker.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by brothers: Robert, William, Lewis, and Donald Felker. Nephews: Robert Felker and William Maurer.

Surviving are a sister: Fay Maurer of Hatboro, PA. Nieces and Nephews: Kenneth Felker, Jeff Felker, Carla Maurer Waddington, Donna Felker, Jen Felker Wagner.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Olga M. Mensinger, 95, of Ringtown, passed away Wednesday, June 26th, 2019.

Olga was born in Mahanoy City, on May 14, 1924, a daughter of the late Mary (Pansak) and William Pitsko.

After high school, Olga moved to the Linden New Jersey area where she worked at the General Motors Defense Plant as a 'Rosie the Riveter' during World War II. After moving back to the local area, she worked in and was retired from the local garment industry, last working for the former Ringtown Manufacturing company.

She was a member of St.John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown, the Ringtown Senior Citizens and the Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph 'Chubby' Mensinger in 2008.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers Vladimir, Michael, John and William Pitsko, and by a grandson, Jeffery Mensinger.

Olga is survived by her two sons, Mark Mensinger, and his wife Denise of Sheppton,
and Greg Mensinger, and his fiancee Roseann of Ringtown.

Three grandchildren, Lisa, Mark Jr., and Brian survive as do three great grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan and Leah. She is also survived by a sister in law, Queli Pitsko along with nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 8th 2019 at St.John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown, with Pastor Jay Serafin officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Olga's family from 9 - 10 AM prior to the service at the church.

Burial will take place at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations are asked to be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown in Olga's memory.

Clair S. Boady, 89 and his wife Rosemary C. Boady, 85 both of Ringtown, Pa, passed away earlier this month at the Reading Hospital. Clair passed away on June 3rd and Rosemary on June 12th both as a result of an automobile accident in Berks County, Pa.

Clair was born on January 6th, 1930 in Reading, Pa to the late Lester and Laura Boady, Rosemary was born on December 13th, 1933 to the late James and Margaret “Ryan” Walsh. Besides their parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frank, James, and Joseph, and 5 sisters, Margaret Walsh, Anna Navitsky, Dorothy Kramer, Irene Thomas, and Theresa Guers.

Clair was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a steel worker for NGK Metals for 46 years and then worked part-time for Rinaldi’s Chevrolet/Chrysler-Jeep. He was a member of the Harry A. Case American Legion Post 289 in Ringtown, the VFW, the steel workers union, and enjoyed fishing. Rosemary was a graduate of the former W. Mahanoy Township High School and then was employed by Stoudt Realty in Reading, Pa for many years.

Clair and Rosemary leave behind their son, Bryan Boady of Ringtown. Clair is also survived by 1 sister, Patricia Ann Boady, Reading. Rosemary is survived by 1 sister, Jackie Dick, Shenandoah. Together they also leave several nieces and nephews.

Scripture Services will be held on Monday, July 1st at 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday morning from 8:30am to 11am. Interment will follow in the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA at 12:30pm with military and religious services.
