William H. “Howie” Morgan, 66, Frackville, passed away peacefully Saturday night at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Shenandoah Heights he was a son of the late W. Howard “Bud” and Thelma Dillman Morgan. He had been employed as a truck driver for Eagle Shirt Co. and later Pitt-Ohio Express until his retirement.

He was a 1970 graduate of North Schuylkill High School, member of Frackville Elks Lodge #1533 where he served as Exalted Ruler four times. He was a NASCAR and Yankees fan and an avid motorcycle enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by a sister Deborah Bellew.

Howie is survived by his wife of 38 years Deborah Staconis Morgan, his two daughters; Ashley Morgan. Frackville and Amanda Morgan and her fiancé Jonathan Krolick, Gordon, his sisters; Barbara Palovcsik, Spring Grove and Jeanne and her husband Michael Capparell, Fountain Springs also by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations, in Howie’s memory, be made to the Frackville Elks Lodge #1533, 307 S. Third St., Frackville, PA 17931, please put veterans fund in the memo.

James T "Jamie" Coleman, age 54, of Tamaqua, formerly of Valley View, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown.

He was born on Tuesday, April 27, 1965, in Pottsville, a son of the late Thomas D Coleman and the late Jean S Wolfgang Coleman.

He was a graduate of Schuylkill IU 29, Mar Lin.

Jamie was a furniture refinisher at Valley Treasures Thrift Shop, Valley View and then worked at Lessie's Garden Greenhouse and Gift Shop, Pottsville.

He was a member of the Sacramento and Frackville Fire Companies, and the former Valley View Fire Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda J Klinger and her husband Dennis of Valley View and Donna L Ressler and her husband David of West Chester, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

James J. Gatens, 67 years of age of Arlington Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at home.

Born Friday, December 14, 1951 in Coaldale, Jim was raised in the home of his late grandparents, Theodore and Virginia Murphy along with their children. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia A. (Mahala) Gatens on February 9, 2006.

Surviving are; son, Jeremy M. Gatens and his wife Whitney of Philadelphia; daughters, Melissa L. Gatens of Tamaqua, Elena W. Gatens of Philadelphia.

A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Jim graduated from Marian Catholic High School class of 1969. He retired from Eagle Rock Resorts where he was head of maintenance. Jim, was a longtime Steward for the South Ward Fire Co. of Tamaqua. He was an active member of the Tamaqua Pool League and social member of the American Legion.

A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday July 12, 2019 from the funeral home. Friends may call on Thursday evening July 11, 2019 from 6 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows, Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
