Thomas “Tommy” Ferrari, 38, Gilberton, lost his life on July 8, 2019 after his struggle with type 1 diabetes and kidney failure.

He had been employed as the Health and Safety Coordinator for Mastronardi Produce, Jonestown.

Tommy was known for his kind heart, great sense of humor and a smile that would light up the room. As a child Tommy would be found BMX racing or skate boarding. In his adult life he enjoyed movies, video games and all forms of technology. Tommys’ greatest loves were his son Aiden Ferrari and his dog, Bella.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Francis and Marie Monahan, Theodore and Beth Ferrari and Louis and Lorraine D’Angelo also by an uncle James D’Angelo.

Tommy is survived by his best friend and loving wife Megan Ferrari and his son, Aiden Ferrari; parents Theodore and Beth Ann D’Angelo Ferrari; his biological father Fran Monahan and his life companion Martina Nestor; brother Tedd Ferrari and sister Ashley Honushefsky; in-laws Michael and Donna Petri also several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

A viewing and celebration of life service will be held on Saturday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for an educational fund for Aiden Ferrari in care of Theodore G. Ferrari at 1019 Main Street Gilberton, PA 17934

Phyllis J. Greiner, 91 of Pottsville, passed away peacefully in her residence.

Born in Schuylkill Haven on November 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Salem and Minerva ( Scheip) Weaver.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

Phyllis was a homemaker her whole life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarance H. Greiner, in 1995.

Phyllis is survived by sons: Allen H., widower of Carol Greiner, of Pottsville and Edward J. Greiner, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Jason , Scott, Robert, and Savanah; great grandchildren: Ethan, Gavin, Alexandria, Natalie, Nikolai, Devon, Sarah, and Jacob; and brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12th, at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville with Rev. Jack Murray officiating.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA.

David A. Corby, 53, of Llewellyn, Branch Township, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday at Christmas Pines Campground, West Brunswick Township.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Robert Corby, Saint Clair, and the late Elizabeth Kohler Corby. He was a 1985 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and worked for Shalmet Corporation, Deer Lake.

He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven; and a social member of the Good Intent Hose Company, Llewellyn.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Corby.

Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 31 years, the former Donna Rae Woodford; two daughters, Crystal Corby (spouse, Richard Kimmel), Llewellyn, and Amie Corby, Llewellyn; three siblings, Thomas Corby (spouse, Maria), Saint Clair, Catherine Mabry, Schuylkill Haven, and William Corby (spouse, Heather), Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews.

The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Ron Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Llewellyn Community Cemetery. Contributions are preferred to CCOP Ministry, 75 S. Berne St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17971.

Peter Uranko, Jr., 76, of West West Terrace, Branch Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning at his home.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Irene Miller Uranko, West West Terrace, and the late Peter Uranko, Sr. He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Philadelphia. After serving an apprenticeship with the former Yannaccone Barber Shop in Pottsville, Peter became a licensed barber, operating a barber shop in West West Terrace until his passing.

He supported Philadelphia sports teams and enjoyed watching professional wrestling.

He was of the Lutheran faith, worshipping at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Gary Uranko and Bruce Uranko and his wife, Donna Shandri Uranko, all of West West Terrace; and the love of his life, the family puppy, Baby Angel.

Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that’s the way I will remember you all. If you only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from Dutcavich Funeral Home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park.
