Three Injured, One Flown After Off Road Accident near Ashland

Three people were injured in an off road crash near Ashland late Saturday.


Just before 8:30pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of 25th Street, in Ashland for an off road rescue.

The location of the rescue was on the Butler Township side of the Schuylkill/Butler Township line between Locust Dale and Ashland on an area of land owned by Reading Anthracite.

Three people were injured when the UTV they were riding rolled on an embankment.

One of the victims was transported to Memorial Field where they were flown to an area hospital via MediVac.

The two other victims were taken to area hospitals via ambulance.  The extent of their injuries was not known.

Responding to the scene were members from the American Hose and Washington Fire Department along with the Washington Rescue.  Ashland Police, Butler Township Police, Two Washington Ambulances, Shenandoah Ambulance, and Area Services also responded.
