Robert J. Nelson, Sr., 45 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at home.

Born Wednesday, August 22, 1973 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania he is survived by; son, Robert J. Nelson, Jr.; sisters, Susan E. Stine, Eva M. Wagner wife of Shawn; brothers, Dwayne E. Nelson, Ronald F. Nelson, and Greg S. Nelson and his wife Melissa. Many nieces nephews and cousins also survive Robert.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, Sarah (Miller) Nelson.

Robert was a New York Giants fan. He enjoyed shooting pool in the Tamaqua Pool League for the Elks.

Mary E. (Doyle) Wagner, beloved wife of the late Charles R. "Charlie" Wagner of Rolling Mill Ave. Tamaqua passed away on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at St. Luke's Bethlehem at the age of 92.

Mary was a resident of New Philadelphia with her family, she attended grade school and graduated from Holy Family Parish School (Holy Cross). The daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Walinski) Doyle. She was also predeceased by; sister's Lt. Commander Margaret Doyle and Elizabeth Doyle; brother's, Edward and Joseph Doyle.

Devoted to her church, St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua she was an active member of the Rosary Society and SS. Peter & Paul Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary and Charlie cared for his mother Florence for many years.

Nieces and A nephew survive her.

Theresa M. Ebert, age 90, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on March 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Mamie (Hubler) Guetling.

Theresa worked as a seamstress at Van Huesen in Pottsville. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville, where she was very active and a Sunday school teacher for 41 years

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years Frederick Louis Ebert on August 18, 1992, three brothers: John, Elmer, and James and four sisters: Mable, Frances, Cevilla, and Agnes.

Theresa is survived by a son Frederick J. Ebert and his wife Marilee McDonough Ebert, Port Carbon; three granddaughters: Jessica Wood, Nevada, Laura McDonough Mills, Pottsville, and Sierra Mills, Port Carbon; three great-grandchildren: Aidan, Pixie, and Colton; Theresa was a pet lover and survived by 2 dogs and 4 cats; a niece Ruthie Nebroskie and her daughter Karen Nebroskie, Minersville; and other nieces and nephew. Love You, Love You, Love You!!! “God rest her soul”

A Graveside Service and interment will be held at Cressona Cemetery on Ash Street Cressona at 11AM on Friday, August 23rd, with Rev. Chris Rotharpt officiating.

At the family's request there will be no visitation and no procession to the cemetery from the funeral home.

Ruth Ethel Ruch, mother, sister, nana, 78 years of age passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Manor Care in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she resided as a guest for the past 4 years.

Born Thursday, March 20, 1941 in Quakertown the daughter of the late Ralph and Jean (Williams) Herstine. She was also predeceased by; husband of twenty-one years, David R. Ruch in 2000; sister, Anna Smith.

Surviving are daughters, April L. DelBorrello wife of Michael of Tamaqua, Karlene J. Kohler wife of Steve of Allentown; sisters, Mildred Loux of Ephrata, Jane Friesen wife of Jake of Heston, KS, Grace Covelli wife of Philip of Sunny Brooke, PA; brothers, Ralph Herstine and his wife Janice of Milford Square, Thomas Herstine and his wife Deborah of Centre Valley; grand children, Matthew, Mitchel, Alyssa, and Ethan. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.

Ruth drove school bus for Quakertown schools for over twenty-five years, she was a talented cross-stitchery and knitter. Ruth liked to do adult coloring books and was and ardent Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.

John C. Williams, age 55, of Mahanoy City, passed away Wednesday morning. Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was the son of the late William and Ruth (Hornberger) Williams. 

He attended Shenandoah Valley High School and had worker for and retired from InfraSource Installations as an underground utilities installer. He was a member of Laborers Union # 158 and also the Heights Fire Company in Shenandoah Heights where he liked hanging out with the usual suspects. He was an avid fan of the Phillies and the Oakland Raiders and enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casino and traveling. He was a friend to everyone and up for anything. 

He was preceded in death by a brother Billy Williams. 

Survivors include his wife of 22 years the former Karen Valentine, a daughter Ashley Longo and her husband Joseph and a son Michael and his fiance' April all of Shenandoah Heights, grandchildren Aiden and Tommy Longo, step children Nick and James Barnish and Lauren Valentine, step grandchildren Elliot Long, Owen Macauley and Travis Barnish and a brother Charles "Chuckie" Williams of Mahanoy City.
