Ashland Still to Hold Trick or Treat Night on Halloween

After some confusion on a flyer that was published, the borough of Ashland will still hold a trick or treat night.

On Monday, the borough of Ashland and Ashland Recreation Committee released a flyer for a new "Trunk or Treat" that will be held the night of Halloween at 7th and Centre Streets.

It wasn't the "Trunk or Treat" that confused everyone, but it was the last line on the flyer that stated "This event replaced town-wide trick or treat".

After we posted the flyer, many borough residents were upset that the borough would not be holding a trick or treat night.

After some clarification, the Ashland Recreation Committee states that the borough will still have a Trick or Treat night on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st.  Residents will still be allowed to hand out candy and that the Trunk or Treat was just another option for residents.
