Gladys V. Zimmerman, 92, of Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.

Born on October 11, 1926 in Schuylkill Haven, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Eva Keller Moyer.

She was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.

Gladys enjoyed working in her home, gardening, and playing cards.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 56 years, Daniel L. Zimmerman; brothers and sisters, Kenneth, Russell, Edna, Elva, Dora and Helen.

Surviving are two sons, Richard and wife Erma Zimmerman of Pine Grove, Larry and wife Norine Zimmerman of Schuylkill Haven; six grandchildren, Brian and wife Amy Zimmerman, Christina and husband Mickey Koppenhaver, Michele and husband Bruce Koch, Jason and wife Christina Zimmerman, Joel and wife Kimberly Zimmerman, Danielle and husband Steven Detwiler; nine great grandchildren, Daniel, Emily, Kate, Alexis, Brody, Rylee, Raelin, Donovan,and Mason; nieces and nephews.

All services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, 1001 James Dr. Suite B34, Leesport, Pa. 19533 in her memory.

Miriam E. Kosatschkow, 66, of Zion Grove, passed away Sunday, September 8th, 2019 at her residence. .

Miriam was born in Shenandoah on April 26, 1953, a daughter of the late Bernice (Lasko) and Robert C. Peterson.

She was a graduate of the West Hazleton High School. After high school, she earned her airline stewardess certification from the Atlantic School in Hartford Connecticut and last worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and unit secretary for the Leigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton.

A member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Nuremberg, Miriam was a former church organist for the Emmanuel Church, Mt. Zion Church, and Davis Chapel.

Miriam enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables and she was a devoted mother and family caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander W. Kosatschkow on August 29th.

Miriam is survived by her children: Amy Kile, of Berwick; Alexander Kosatschkow, II of Zion Grove; Elizabeth Raibeck, of Schuylkill Haven; and Mary Kosatschkow, of Allentown.

A sister, Mary Ellen Laberta survives as does 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Miriam's family on Thursday evening, September 12th from 6-8PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. A graveside committal service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 13th at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Zion Grove,with Rev. Craig Zimmerman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to supply chemo-totes to cancer patients in Miriam's memory are asked to be made payable to Jessica Boyle, 34 East Blaine Street, McAdoo, PA 18237.

Ronald L. Masarik, Jr., 53, of Tower City, passed away Sunday evening at Carolyn 's Hospice House, Harrisburg after a courageous and valiant fight with Melanoma for the past four and half years.

Born in Pottsville, December 13, 1965, a son of Ronald Sr. and Roberta Grimm Masarik, Tower City.

Ron was a 1984 graduate Williams Valley High School. He was employed by Pyramid Construction, Wormlysburg.

Ron was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Chapel, Tower City. He was an active member of the Orwin Fire Company where he had served as assistant chief.

He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and many friends.

Ron will be remembered for infectious smile and positive attitude.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of thirty years, Kelley Brennan Masarik; two children, Susanna Masarik, Orwin and Ronald R. Masarik, Tower City; two grandchildren, Ty and Angelina; two sisters, Machelle Snesavage and Ann Marie Masser both of Tower City; his father-in-law, William Brennan, Williamstown and his mother-in-law, Virginia Mione, Tower City; Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many dear friends.
