Nancy E. Brokenshire, 76, of Frackville, PA, passed away Sunday, September 15th, at her residence.

Nancy was born in Mahanoy City, PA on June 30, 1943, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Fizel) and Leo Salmon.

Nancy graduated from Mahanoy Area High School class of 1961.

She worked for Mahanoy City Cigar Plant and later Eagle Brother Shirt Factory.

Nancy later became a homemaker and raised her two children.

Nancy loved dogs and enjoyed her time watching television, especially comedies.

She was the wife of Jim Brokenshire.

Nancy is also survived by a daughter, Tami, wife of Russ Pellegrino, of Frackville; a son, James, of Frackville; and by a sister, Virginia Minalda, of Mahanoy City; and nephews John and Matthew Minalda.

A Religious Service will be held Friday September 20, at 11AM at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, with Pastor Carl Shankweiler officiating.

Friends may call Thursday 6 to 8 PM and Friday 9 to 11 AM.

Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery Association Mahanoy City, PA.

Grace Selbi, 73, of Shenandoah, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 17th, at her residence.

Grace was born in Lehighton, PA on October 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Madeline (Lauchner) and Kermit Steigerwalt.

She graduated from Lehighton High School.

She loved playing Bingo, working in her puzzle book, but most of all her grand and great grandchildren.

She was wife of the late Joseph Selbi.

Grace is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie, wife of Peter Walinchus, of Mahanoy City; Linda Collins, of Shenandoah; three sons Joseph, husband of Christine, of Shenandoah; Robert, husband of Sharon, of Shenandoah; William, husband of Lisa, of Shenandoah; and by two sisters, Josie, wife of David Kubly, of WI; Gail Wotring, wife of Sheldon, of Bowmanstown.

She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.

Grace is preceded in death by her brother Allen.

Interment will follow in the Annunciation BVM Cemetery Shenandoah, PA.

Evelyn A. Moran, 81, of Minersville passed away Monday afternoon at ManorCare, Pottsville.

Born in Branchdale, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Petrick Fedorick.

She was a graduate of the first graduating class of the former Pottsville Catholic High School. She continued her education by attending Nursing School in Philadelphia. She was of the Catholic faith. .

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband Thomas; a brother Joseph Fedorick and a sister June Fisher.

Evelyn is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Moran and Kevin Moran, both of Minersville; a dauthter, Michelle Berger and her husband Jeffrey, Schuylkill Haven; a sister Mary McDonald, Branchdale and a brother James Fedorick, Mill Creek; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 AM from the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 8 AM until the time of the service. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside.

The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Evelyn to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105. Eugene J. Blackwell Sr. , 79, of 217 South Nice Street, Frackville, passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 at his home in Frackville.

Born in Gilberton on March 30, 1940, He was a son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Harding) Blackwell

Eugene was self-employed as an over the road Truck Driver

He was a member of St. Clair – Wade Methodist Church, St. Clair, former Frackville Masonic Lodge 737, Caldwell Consistory Bloomsburg, Rajah Shrine Reading and the Schuylkill Motorcycle Drill Team.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, John Lutz Jr. and a grandniece Traci Blackwell.

Surviving are his wife Vera (Spotts) Blackwell, 3 sons Eugene Blackwell II and his wife Kathleen of Frackville; Eric Blackwell and his wife Michelle of Paxinos; Alex Blackwell and his companion Nicki of Virginia Beach; 4 Grandchildren, E.J., Madison, Aidan, Manny, 1 sister Betty Lutz of Fairless Hills, 1 brother Raymond Blackwell Jr of Texas, 4 Nephews Ray Blackwell III, Randy Blackwell, Scott Lutz, Todd Lutz, Grandnieces and Nephew.

A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday at September 24, 2019 at the Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc, 9 North Lehigh Avenue Frackville, 17931. The Rev. Jack Murray will be officiating. . Friends may call from Tuesday 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 2132, Memphis, TN 38101.

Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Charles Wayne Martz, 72, formerly of Gordon, PA passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home in Williamsport, PA
Born December 5, 1946 in Ashland, PA the son of the late Wayne and Phyllis (Berger) Martz.
Surviving is his wife: Sandra (Dittmar) Martz of Williamsport.
At Charles's wishes there will be no service.
