Roy E Harner, age 95, of Wyomissing, formerly of Spring Glen, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on Friday, August 15, 1924, in Valley View, a son of the late John Harner and the late Eva Schucker Harner.

Roy was a self employed coal miner and was recently recognized as the area's oldest living coal miner.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento. He was also a member of the Independent Coal Miners and the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by two infant brothers; and by two sisters Elva Klinger and Elsie Ferree.

He is survived by his wife Jean G Artz Harner, to whom he was married for 73 years.

He is also survived by a son, Don R Harner and his wife Diane of Phoenixville; a daughter, Sherry A Walker of Wyomissing; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a sister, Betty Klinger of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 11:00 am.

There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service.

Charlotte C. Loprete, 59 years of age, of Coaldale, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.

Born Saturday, January 19, 1960 in Germany the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Herzog) Hanley. She was also predeceased by; husband, Vincent Loprete; brother, Ronald Nelson Hanley.

Surviving are; sons, Joseph Loprete and his wife Tracey, Vincent Loprete; daughter, Helena Weiss wife of Gerald; brother, Robert Hanley; sister, Sarah Genaile; grand children, Stephen Weiss, Jayden and Jaxson Loprete.

Charlotte worked in food services for many years and enjoyed cooking.

Christine A. Rodichok, 72, of Tower City, passed away very unexpectedly Friday evening.

Born in Muir, April 24,1947, a daughter of the late Chester and Mae Hoffman Bixler.

Christine was a 1965 graduate of the former Porter Tower High School.

Following graduation she worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until the birth of her daughter. She then worked doing secretarial jobs for several local businesses in the Tower City area.

She was of the Methodist Faith, was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Tower City and the Tower City American Legion.

Christine enjoyed living life to the fullest, be it travelling to the Caribbean Islands every year, or their trips to Key West, Florida, she loved the sun and sand.

Her life revolved around her family, her husband, daughters and grandchildren were her world. She also loved her faithful companion, her dog, Jonnie.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Theodore S. "Ted" Rodichok; her two daughters, Jodi L. Zeiders (Robert), Sinking Spring and Victoria A. Huntzinger (Dane), Valley View; one brother, James Bixler (Bonnie), Tower City; three grandchildren she adored, Holly, Cassie and Grant Huntzinger. Nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Amanda Bressler. Viewing will be from 6-7 pm at the chapel.
