Two Injured, One Flown After Crash on Route 901 Sunday Afternoon

Two people were injured, one of them flown, after a crash in Barry Township Sunday afternoon.


Just after 2:00pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Sunbury Road (Route 901) and Deep Creek Road, Barry Township, for a motor vehicle accident.

Two people were injured in the crash when two pickup trucks collided.

One person was transported to an area hospital by ambulance while the other was taken to the a landing zone at the Church of the Nazarene in Lavelle and flown via Life Flight.

Responding to the scene were the Gordon Fire Company, Lavelle Fire Company,  Washington Rescue, Two BLS from the Washington Ambulance, and the Shenandoah ALS.

The Gordon Fire Company also handled the landing zone in Lavelle while Lavelle Fire remained at the scene..
