Madeline L. McGee, 67, of Pottsville, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 24th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville on February 26, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Melvin & Margaret (Gradwell) McGee.

She was a 1970 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. Madeline received her Associate Letter in Arts & Sciences from Penn State in 1979, and gradated from Albright College with a BS in Nursing and Spanish in 1988.

She had been employed as a registered nurse at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Madeline was an active and faithful member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She served as church librarian, the children's church teacher, Christ Servant minister, and was a member of the church bowling team, and the visitation ministry.

Madeline was an avid Eagles, Phillies, & Penn State fan.

She is survived by a sister, Darlene A. Miles, widow of John, Schuylkill Haven, nephew, Dennis Miles & wife, Heather, Mechanicsburg, and a great-nephew, Jake Miles.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville,at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 30th, with Rev. John Wallace officiating.

A viewing will be held Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

John L. Moyer, Sr., 84, of Tremont, passed away Wednesday, December 25th at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Pine Grove, December 3, 1935, a son of the late Tennyson and Stella Hand Moyer.

John graduated from Tremont Township High School in 1952, and in 1953 graduated from Tremont High School.

He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He also served seven years with the Air Force National Guard.

He was a retired carpenter from Pine Grove Homes.

John was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont; Tremont Fire Company for over 30 years, where he served with the fire police; a member of the Tremont Community Organization, Tremont Senior Citizens, President and Trustee of the former Tremont Lions Club, a member of the former Tremont American Legion. He served as a Judge of Elections in the Tremont Boro and a Republican Committee Representative for many years. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and was a member of the Black Rock Hunting Club. John also worked with the fire crew at the Big Diamond race track for over 19 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Joseph Moyer; a sister, Ruth "Cookie" Ossman.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Eva Fushey Moyer; two sons, John L. Moyer, Jr., Allentown and Lewis T. Moyer, Tremont; a granddaughter, Valerie K. Stepanoff and her husband Nicholas, Bethlehem; a great granddaughter, Olivia Nicole Stepanoff, sisters; Joan Harmon, Valley View, Helen Shadle, Mollystown, Susie Fulkroad, Halifax, Jean Klinger, Lavelle, Patsy Holtzlaw, South Carolina and Beverly Weller, Orwigsburg; two brothers, Donald Moyer, Utah and Raymond Moyer, Tremont. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31st at 11:00 am from the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc, Tower City with Rev. Krista Roehrig. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday evening from 6-8 pm and Tuesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Mary A. Guidas, 82, of Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Carolyn's House in Harrisburg.

Born on July 9, 1937 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Alice Monti Natale.
She was a 1956 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont.

Mary was a short order cook for Schwalm's Restaurant and retired in July 2018.

Preceding her in death were her husband George J. Guidas, Sr.; a granddaughter Tamara Guidas; a son-in-law Blake Lutz; six brothers, Dominick, Joseph, Nicholas, James, Frank and Robert Natale, six sisters, Stiffanie Kutz, Carmela Graeff, Frances Schwalm, Fiora Clark, Lucy Klinger, and Barbara Natale.

Surviving are two sons, Andrew and wife June Guidas, George J. Guidas, Jr.; three daughters, Therese and husband Terry Freeman, Frances and husband Sam Haldeman, Mary Dot Lutz, all of Pine Grove; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Mary, Angela, Katrina, Bethany, Melanie, Cameron, and Gabrielle; six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis, Layla, Jett, Wyatt and Bristol; a brother, Anthony Natale of Summit Station.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St., Tremont, with Father Paul Rothermel officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Most Blessed Trinity Parish. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Tremont.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either the Hospice of Central Pa. for Carolyn's House, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, Pa. 17110. or American Cancer Society, 712 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, Pa. 18157 in her memory.
