William C. "Mousey" Austerberry, Sr., 62 of Minersville, died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill, Pottsville.

He was born January 25, 1957 in Pottsville a son of the late William M. and Lorraine McCready Austerberry.

He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School and was employed by American Can Corp, in Blandon prior to retiring.

Mousey was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, South Cass Citizen Fire Co., and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Pottsville.

Surviving are his children, Nicole Drum, Pottsville; William C. Austerberry, Jr., and Elizabeth Austerberry, both of New Philadelphia; several grandchildren; siblings, Thomas Austerberry, Pottsville; Dale Austerberry, Schuylkill Haven; Virginia Donetti, Schuylkill Haven, Donna Austerberry, Minersville; nieces and nephews.

Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday at 11AM from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Deacon John E. Quirk officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10AM until the time of services.

Cindy A. Chayka (nee Pillar), 62, died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at her home in Macungie, PA after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Coaldale, PA on December 12, 1957, she is a daughter of Veronica (Vrana) Pillar of Coaldale, and the late Frank X. Pillar. A 1975 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 1979 graduate of Marywood College, she worked as a Registered Dietician at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, PA for 35 years. She was a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) and a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). Cindy was happiest when surrounded by her loving friends and family and loved vacationing at the beach. Above all else, she was a loving mother and daughter. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. 

In addition to her mother, Veronica, she is survived by daughter, Annelise Chayka and son-in-law, Robert Derke of Delaware; daughter, Allison Chayka of Bethlehem; grandson, Christian Phelan of Bethlehem and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Bonnie Folk. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in St. Joseph Catholic Church of the Panther Valley, 462 West Ludlow Street, Summit Hill, PA followed by interment in Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Nesquehoning, PA. Call 9-11 AM on Thursday at the church.

Jeff Boyer (Fuson), 58, of Schuylkill Haven, PA, passed away Friday, December 27th, at Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Frackville.

Jeff was born in Providence, RI on April 22, 1961, a son of the late Joyce (Fiedler) and Arnold Boyer.

Jeff is also survived by two sisters, Deborah Lecker, Cynthia Flynn, two brothers, Timothy, Stephen, many nieces and nephews and a large loving family.

He was an avid gardener, woodworker, cook and outdoors man.

He will also be missed by his friends from Misawa, Japan.

Religious Service will be held at Zion's Church, Shoemakersville, at 11 AM on Saturday, January 4th.

John “Jack” Lengel, 79, of Reading, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 26 at Reading Hospital.Jack, son of the late Frances Frieda (Somers) and Guy Richard Lengel, was born in Orwigsburg on Feb. 12, 1940. He was a 1958 graduate of Blue Mountain High School,then served in the U.S. Air Force.He married Edeltraut “Trudy” (Mueller) Lengel, the love of his life, on Nov. 9, 1965 in Basel, Switzerland and traveled Europe.Upon returning, he graduated from Penn State, worked as anindustrial electrician, owned and operated Globe Imports and retired recently as lead carpenter for Lengel’s Herbal, supporting Trudy’s dream.He always loved “Das Auto,” was a bush-buggy builder and racer, could repair anything, and literally was a “Jack” of all trades. He was also an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, crabbing, biking, and gardening; capturing accomplishments in photos.

In addition to Trudy, his wife of 54 years, Jack is survived by his son, John, Jr, and wife, Patti, of Dublin, OH;daughter, Kristina Lengel, of Penllyn, PA; grandchildren, Alexis and Brett Lengel; brother, James Lengel; sister-in-law, Gloria Lengel; and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother Guy Roger Lengel.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Dec. 31at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Memorial gathering from 10:00 am until service. Interment will be private at convenience of the Family.

Donna M. (Hummel) Dillman, 57, a lifelong resident of Frackville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 25, at her home with her family by her side. She suffered from a chordoma for the past nine and a half years.

Donna loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren; Katelynn Himes, Monica and Brianna Jones.

Born in Pottsville, December 26, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Ralph L. and Mardel Miller Hummel.

She was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, class of 1979 and graduated from the North Vo-Tech with a Certificate in Textiles.

Donna previously worked as a machine operator for City Shirt and the former Model Garment factory, both of Frackville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Deborah Hummel, in 1989.

Donna is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert C. Dillman, Frackville; two daughters; Jennifer Himes and husband Joseph, and Tara Dillman; both of Frackville; three sisters; Kathy Tarn and husband Bill, New Lisbon, NJ; Darlene Boyer and husband Jack, Girardville; and Diana Andrewcavage and husband Mark, Frackville; a brother; Ralph Hummel Jr. and wife Cathy, Fountain Springs; a Special Aunt Ann Marie and Uncle James Somers; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning, December 30, 2019 at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Jeff Merwine, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
