Gabriel Gnall, 66, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 4th, peacefully, at his residence after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Gabriel was born in Mahanoy City, PA on March 14, 1953, a son of the late Olga (Kasyan) and Peter Gnall.

He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City.

He was a surface miner for Gilberton Coal Company.

He was an avid Steelers fan. He was a coach for Mahanoy City Little League. He enjoyed collecting coins.

He was the husband of Patricia (Kanger) Gnall.

Gabriel is also survived by three sons Gabriel Jr. and wife Janine, of Frackville; Joshua, and wife Carlee, of Lavelle; Nicholas, of Mahanoy City; and by two sisters, Salome Levkulich, of NC; Monica Lapinsky, of Danville, five brothers, Theodore, of WI; Myron, of NY; Jerome, of NJ; Nestor, of Mahanoy City; Andrew, of Calif; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a brother Peter, and a sister Eudoxia Knapp.

Office of Christian Burial and Divine Liturgy at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, at 11 AM on Monday, February 10th, with Rev. James Carroll officiating.

Friends may attend a visitation Monday from 9 to 11 AM at the Church.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.

Family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society, and can be made at the church.

Ruth M. Hobbs, 91 of Pottsville, died Tuesday evening.

She was born October 2, 1928 in Frackville a daughter of the late Frank M. and Stella Stein Palermo

She was a graduate of West Mahanoy Township High School.

Ruth was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. A former member of the Schuylkill County Medical Society Auxiliary, Philanthrope, Pottsville Club, Fountain Spring Country Club, Schuylkill Country Club and Bear Lake Country Club, FL. She was also a former Den Mother for the Boy Scouts.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Joseph H. Hobbs, M.D. on September 3, 1996; a son Thomas J. Hobbs, on July 21, 1987; 7 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children, Harry K. Hobbs and his wife Lillian, Pottsville; Lesle M. O'Reilly and her husband Edward, Pottsville; Diane B. Rubin, Odenton, MD; Noreen B. Hobbs, Pottsville; Michael F. Hobbs, New Foundland; Jennifer E. Speck, and her husband Jeff, Mountain Top; Joseph P. Mulqueen and his wife Chris, New Mexico; Patrick J. Mulqueen and his wife Jackie, McKeansburg; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Palermo, Frackville; 2 sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9am until the time of mass Monday at the church. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.

Ronald T. Rountree, 79, Cressona, PA passed away at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. Ron loved the Lord, and went home to be with his Savior, Monday, February 3, 2020. He will be remembered as a Man of God, dedicated husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Born in Pine Grove, PA on November 24, 1940, he was a son of the late Amy Christ.

He was the loving husband of Karen M. (Wensel) Rountree, to whom he was married 55 years.

Ron served in the U.S. Army; and had retired as a truck driver for Lehigh Valley Dairies.

He attended Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church of Reedsville, Schuylkill Haven.
Ron dedicated 13 years of his life to Boy Scouts of America by serving as Scout Master to many.

He loved to watch the elk in Elk County, and fish.

In addition to his wife, Ron is also survived by a son, Darrin Rapali, two daughters: Annette Holopirek, wife of Scott, and Roxanne King, wife of Allen, grandchildren: Brandon Huntzinger, Matthew Naftzinger, Travis, & Vaughn Humphrey, Kristin Cash, Chelsey Hiehle, & Kayla Lashinski, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers: David Smith, & Robert Rountree, and nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15th, with Rev. Mark Brooks officiating.
A viewing will be held Saturday, February 15th, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church.

Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.

Linda A. Green, 70 years of age, of Ebervale, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Hometown Pennsylvania.

Born Sunday, November 13, 1949 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Charles Zellner, Jr. and Anna (Wagner) Zellner.

Surviving are her; beloved husband, David A. Bieniek; son, Michael C. Green and his wife Ann of Coaldale; daughter, Lisa Green of Andreas; sister, Karen Friebolin and her husband Kurt of Allentown; 7 grand children.

A graduate of Lehighton High School, Linda co-owned the former Last Chance Bar in Tamaqua from 1986 thru 2011. Linda, retired from Mountain City Nursing Home of Hazleton. Linda enjoyed playing bingo online, was an Elvis fan, and avid reader.

Robert C. "Dook" Yourshaw, 87, of Tower City, passed away Tuesday, February 4th at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Orwin, February 10, 1932, a son of the late Helen Yourshaw Bowman.

Dook was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a retired truck driver.

He was a member of the Oriwn and Pine Grove Fire Companies; Tower City, Pine Grove and Williamstown American Legions; Valley View Gun Club; Valley View and Pine Grove VFW.

Dook enjoyed having horses most of his life. He could often be found playing cards with his many friends.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Cory R. Yourshaw, 2011.

Surviving are his brother, Richard Bowman, Tower City; three sisters, Kay Reiner, Tower City; Carol Kreiser, Jonestown and Diane Deeter, Hegins; numerous nieces and nephews.

Following Dook's wishes there will no services. Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Pearl K. Reinoehl, 96, of Tower City, passed away Tuesday, February 4th at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Lincoln, August 22, 1923, a daughter of the late Joseph Williams and Carrie Williams Woll.

Pearl was a graduate of the former Porter High School. Pearl devoted her life to her family, she will be greatly missed.

She was member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Tower City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, 1988; three brothers, Russ, Clarence and Robert Williams; one grandson, Joshua Reinoehl; a son-in-law, Charles Stout.

Surviving are her daughter, Pearl Ann Stout, Oklahoma; five sons, George (Susan), North Carolina; Harold Jr., "Jack" (Cindy), Halifax; Russell (April), Donaldson; Scott (Tina) and Paul "Stu" (Cindy), both of Tower City; a brother, James Williams, Indiana; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a committal graveside services Tuesday, February 11th at 11:30 am from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Rev. Maureen Duffy-Guy. Funeral procession will leave the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City at 10:30 am. Memorial donations in Pearl's name should be made to Trinity UCC, Women's Guild, 448 E. Alfred “Al” Andruscavage, 59, of 128 S. Jardin St, Shenandoah passed away peacefully, February 4 in the loving care of his family. Born in Shenandoah at the former Locust Mountain Hospital. He is the son of Ann Wychulis Andruscavage and her companion Jake and the son of the late Alfred Andruscavage Sr.

He is a 1978 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School and he is retired from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation (Penn Dot). He was a social member of the Columbia Fire Co, Shenandoah and he was a railroad enthusiast, and also loved collecting antiques.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife and caregiver, Cheryl Chiao Stanitis, a sister, Amy Andruscavage of Shenandoah, step-children – Samantha Stanitis with her husband Joseph Rutkowsky of Shenandoah Heights, and Anthony Stanitis of Shenandoah. Al was a beloved Pop Pop to grandchildren Zoey and Scarlett Rutkowsky. He is also survived by his in laws, Charles and Sharon Chiao of Morea, brother in laws – Michael and Charles Chiao, and his close friends – John and Kathy Phillips of Ringtown.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the members of the Columbia Fire Company for their love and support during Al’s time of need.

It was Al’s request that services and arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.

Pauline “Tina” Pytak, 59, of Shenandoah passed away on Tuesday, February 4th at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center – Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Shenandoah on March 24th, 1960 she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pytak and Pauline Hysock.

Tina was a 1978 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, and she then worked as a nurse’s aide for Broad Mountain Manor in Frackville. She loved horseback riding, camping, fishing, gardening and canning foods.

Besides her parents, Tina was preceded by 1 sister, Donna Pytak.

Surviving are her companion of 27 years, Wally Palubinsky, 5 brothers – Joseph Pytak with Andrea – Lost Creek, John Pytak – Girardville, Harry Pytak – Shenandoah, Frank Pytak with Nancy – Shenandoah, and William Pytak with Debbie – Shenandoah, 12 nieces and nephews also survive.

Private Services will be conducted on Friday, February 7th from the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah by Msgr. Myron Grabowsky.
