Tammy Lynn Franklin, 52, of Frackville, PA, passed away at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Tammy was born in Kingsville, Tx on September 7, 1967, a daughter of Peggy Ann (Morrison) Andrewcavage and Thomas Workman.

She was the wife of Thomas Franklin.

Tammy is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer Diehl, of Taylor PA; three sons Cord Cragen, of Beaver Meadows; Michael O'Donnell, of Montgomery PA; Thomas O'Donnell, of Hazleton; two sisters, Dawn Redwine, of Noblesville IN. Shannon Franklin Freeland, two brothers, Thomas A. Workman, of Lexington IL; John Andrewcavage, of Waynesville MO.

She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life services will be at the Delano Fire Company, Saturday February 8th, 1 to 5 PM.

Richard L. Antalosky, 59, a lifelong resident of Frackville died unexpectedly at his residence Monday, February 3, 2020.

Born in Pottsville, April 10, 1960 he was a son of Ruth “Sis” Zimmerman Antalosky, Frackville and the late John “Jack” Antalosky.

He was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, class of 1978, and the Williamsport Area Community College with a Degree in Tool and Dye.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities.

He was a member of the Shady Acres Rod and Gun Club, Big Pine, the Steel Workers Union and was a member of the former St. Peter United Church of Christ, Frackville.

He worked in the trade of Tool and Dye and was also a Machine Mechanic for the Silgan White Cap Corporation, Hazelton.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Allison and an infant brother.

Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Christina “Tina” Antalosky; a son, Albert Antalosky and fiancé Ariella Bell; a daughter April Yedsena and husband Lenny; two grandchildren; Anthony and Lenny, Yedsena; brothers; John Antalosky and wife Linda and Mark Antalosky and companion Maureen; all of Frackville; several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. David Davis, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family from 9:00 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

Theodore F. Gonzales, age 94, of Mahanoy City, died Wednesday morning at Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late Manueal and Raphaela (Fernandez) Gonzales Sr.. He was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and had been employed by the county highway department, Eagle Brothers and last worked for and retired from Mahanoy City Borough where he was a clerk and dispatcher for the Mahanoy City Police Department. He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.

Preceding him in death were 4 brothers Joseph Gonzales killed in action during WWII, Manuel Gonzales Jr, Albert Gonzales and Emil Gonzales and a sister Katherine Fernandez.

Survivors include 1 brother Ralph Gonzales of Virginia, a sister Lena Gomez of Montgomeryville, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Kathleen Shebakis, 71, of Minersville, passed away on Monday at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Catherine Kleibenstein Byrnes. She attended Nativity B.V.M. High School; and was employed in hardware and lumber sales, having last worked at Lowe’s, Pottsville, in the Commercial Sales Department.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Byrnes and Walter Byrnes.

Kathleen is survived by three children, Ellis Emery (spouse, Paula), Schuylkill Haven, Paula Emery (companion, John Sep), Pottsville, and Kathleen Biscoe (spouse, Thomas), Elysburg; a grandson, Kole Biscoe; two siblings, Alice Bradley, Pottsville, and Richard Byrnes (spouse, Carolyn), Colorado Springs; nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former spouse, Albert Shebakis.

Janet G. "Dolly" Mertz, age 91, of Orwigsburg, PA passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at Luther Ridge in Pottsville.

Born in Tremont, PA and raised in Port Carbon, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Miller) Schroding. Dolly was a graduate of the Port Carbon Soldier's Memorial High School, Class of 1946. She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education (1950) and a Master of Arts degree in counseling (1974) from Kutztown University. While at Kutztown, Dolly was captain of the field hockey team and a cheerleader and later became a board member of the Alumni Association. After marrying her childhood sweetheart (Keihner), Dolly started the first kindergarten at the Port Carbon Soldier's Memorial School. She later worked in the Blue Mountain School District as a first grade teacher and principal at the Orwigsburg Elementary School, and guidance counselor at the Middle School. Dolly was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Orwigsburg, where she taught Sunday school and took communion calls to the elderly of the parish. Dolly loved the outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, and camping/RVing with Keihner and their friends. She was a counselor at Camp Chickagami at Sweet Arrow Lake, where she was in charge of the water sports activities. Her Orwigsburg Card Club Group was a great source of joy for her along with her devotion to a succession of poodles. She was also a member of the Orwigsburg Lionettes. In retirement, she remained active with her Class of 1946 always donating to the Port Carbon Library and coordinating reunions. As a wife and mother, her family activities were the most important part of her life.

She leaves behind many dear friends and devoted family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Keihner Mertz, and a brother Robert Schroding Jr. Dolly is survived by two daughters: Janet Mertz Young and her husband Gary Young, New Tripoli, PA, and Sandra Mertz and partner Brian Sharrow, Arlington, VA.

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon at 11AM on Saturday, February 8th, with Rev. Michael T. Petresky officiating the celebration of life. Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dolly's memory to either the St. Paul's Lutheran Church @ 215 N. Nancy J. Mellor, 59 years of age of West Broad street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania upon arrival..

Born Wednesday, March 2, 1960 in Texas the daughter of the late Arthur and Shirley (Merrit) Patton.

Surviving are; her beloved husband, William J. Mellor; sons, Michael Miller of Walnutport, William J. Mellor of Tamaqua; daughters, Dusty Mizic wife of Anthony of Cressona, Nicole Smith wife of Justin of Tuscarora; niece, Jennifer Stoves and her husband Sean of Coaldale; sisters, Belinda "Bo" Patton and Melody Patton; 12 grand children.

Nancy and her husband Bill owned and operated Mellor Property Management for many years.
