Legislators Facilitate Regional Power Plants to Donate Personal Protective Equipment to St. Luke’s Miner Campus

On Thursday, Senator David G. Argall and Congressman Dan Meuser announced that they facilitated a large donation of personal protective equipment to the St. Luke’s Miners Campus to assist healthcare workers as they treat patients exposed to COVID-19.

Senator Argall's office announced that the Rich Family of Companies and Olympus Power came together to donate a total of 370 masks, 181 protective suits, and 3,310 pair of gloves to the hospital.

“It is wonderful to see these regional coal and power companies step up to help out with St. Luke’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Argall. “It is of the utmost importance at this moment in time that we do everything we can to support our brave health care workers who are on the front lines of this fight. I would like to commend all four of the companies who donated their supplies today.”

“Thank you to the Rich Family of Companies and Olympus Power for donating personal protective equipment to the St. Luke’s Miners Campus. Since the coronavirus outbreak began, I have been actively involved in picking up and delivering supplies to local health care facilities. These contributions and acts of kindness are why the people of the 9th District are the best in America. Such generosity and collaboration will help us get past this crisis faster,” said Congressman Meuser.

Our clinicians and staff at the front lines of this crisis make sacrifices every day to care for our community and this goes a long way in showing them our community appreciates their service.”
