Downed Tree Knocked Out Power in Saint Clair and Norwegian Township; Causes Fire

A downed tree knocked out power to Saint Clair and Norwegian Township on Wednesday.


Just before 12:00pm, members of the Saint Clair Fire Department was dispatched to Broad Street in Arnots Addition for wires down and arching. 

The tree fell on high voltage wires causing a small brush fire to a house and construction vehicles.

The incident also knocked power out to Saint Clair and Norwegian Township including Walmart and the Coal Creek Plaza.

As of 2:15pm, power was still out.
