This mobile drive-through pop-up event will combine the offerings of local food and beverage businesses like Pressed Coffee & Books, Cake Pros, and Here Piggy Piggy Traveling BBQ and make them fully accessible to the public in a centralized, minimal contact space.
Mobile trailers and vehicles for each business will be set up at Union Station in Pottsville, where attendees will be able to view menus and order from each business at makeshift drive through windows.
This setup will enable customers to shop without ever leaving their vehicle.
Pressed will be selling bulk coffee and tea beverages in addition to cupcakes and locally created flower bouquets.
Popular “decorate your own” cookie kits from Cake Pros will be available for kids to craft an edible, creative gift for their mothers.
Here Piggy Piggy Traveling BBQ will be making their classic pork or brisket BBQ options, along with homemade mac and cheese, available in convenient combo packs to take care of dinner so mom doesn’t have to.
Spring Gate Vineyard from Harrisburg will also be joining this weekend’s event, providing Pennsylvania-made wine and beer by the bottle, can, and case, so customers can stock up and enjoy a beverage at home.
“The goal of this particular Pressed and Guest event is to safely highlight shopping local for Mother’s Day in a way that’s really convenient for everyone.” said Abby Weaver, owner at Pressed Coffee & Books, “We wanted it to be a place you could stop for a little bit of everything, and maybe even bring your mom along to celebrate her and get out of the house while still being socially responsible. Aside from the holiday, we’re definitely hoping to have more of these events at other locations soon!”
This rotating pop-up will be located off of Route 61 in the Union Station parking lot on the following dates:
● Friday, May 8th, 11AM - 7PM
● Saturday, May 9th, 11AM - 7PM
● Sunday, May 10th, 9am - 1PM
