PIAA Issues Statement on Fan Attendance at Athletic Events

On Thursday, the PIAA officially released a statement on fan attendance at athletic events once school resumes.
The PIAA stated that they will continue to follow the guidance that Governor Tom Wolf and the Department of Health has put it place for counties in the "Yellow" or "Green" phase which states:
"During the Yellow and Green phases of reopening, sports-related activities at the PK-12 level are limited to student athletes, coaches, officials, and staff only. The addition of visitors and spectators will be contingent upon future health conditions within the state and local communities."

As of this posting, all fall sports, which includes cross country, football, golf, soccer, and Girls Volleyball,  are moving ahead, just without the fans in attendance.

Most Schuylkill County schools have already released their plans on reopening at the end of August or beginning of September which includes on-site as well as virtual teaching.
