Kristopher R. Hanlon
, 42, of Frackville, PA, passed away Saturday, July 4th, at his residence.

Kris was born in Boston Run, PA on October 6, 1977, a son of Christine (Kline) Hanlon and the late Robert Hanlon.

Kris was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Barlettas, Hazleton, Rombergers, Pine Grove and most recently at Blaschak Coal Company Mahanoy City for the past 11 years, he was also a member of the United Mine workers.

Kris loved taking care of his son Kristopher. Also, hanging out with his friends, riding his quad, & dirt bikes. He worked hard and played hard. He rode profession BMX since he was 5. He even raced at Grand Nationals in Oklahoma City in 1992. He was a kind man who helped everyone even if he didn’t know them.

In addition to his mother and her companion Mike Zulkowski, Kristopher is survived by a son, Kristopher R. Hanlon Jr. and his grandmother Carol Kline, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Religious Service will be held at 11 am at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA.

Friends may call Friday July 10th, from 4 to 8 pm, and Saturday 9 am.

Interment at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.

Leo J. Grace
, 75, Norwegian Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6th at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late John and Gladys Frankenstein Grace. Leo worked as the director of purchasing for Honeywell until his retirement.

Leo was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pottsville. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army Reserves. He was the Norwegian Township Supervisor for 44 years, he served as the treasurer for Railway Park, former member of the Marlin and Seltzer Hose Companies. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Joseph and Richard Grace.

Leo is survived by his loving wife Marsha Strauss Grace, Norwegian Twp.; his two sons: Kenneth and his wife Rosemary Grace, Orwigsburg; Kevin Grace, Milford, NJ; his daughter Leonette and her husband Emil Simodejka, Lumberton, NJ; his grandchildren who he adored, Rachel, Kelsey, Drew, Dylan, Ryan and Aidan; a sister-in-law, Elaine Grace and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday July 10th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pottsville with Monsignor Edward J. O’Connor, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to his viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment with military honors will be held in Calvary Cemetery.

JoanneT. Rolko, 77 years of age, of Barnesville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Heritage Hills Senior Living Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.

Born Saturday, May 15, 1943 in Shenandoah, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Wiskerski) Uscilowicz. She was also predeceased by; her husband, Edward P. Rolko; sister, Alice Quick; brother, John Uscilowicz.

Surviving are sons, Edward Rolko of Hamburg, Forrest Rolko and his wife Ann of Tamaqua; daughter, Carolyn Kenyon and her companion Rick Keeler of Vestal, NY; sister, Terry DeFelice and her husband Rick of Eldersburg, MD; grand children, Britney, Megan, Aaron, Jason, Scott, Bryan; 5 great- grandchildren.

Joanne owned and operated Mr. Edwards Beauty Salon in Shenandoah for many years with her late husband, and also worked for PA. National Bank in St Clair, and Frackville. She was a graduate of Shenandoah High School, and member of St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church of Shenandoah. Joanne loved tending to her home, gardening, and keeping it looking beautiful. She enjoyed archery and was an avid reader.

Ronald R. Reedy, 78, of Williamstown, passed away Tuesday, July 7th at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon after a one month valiant battle with COVID-19.

Born in Orwin, December 30, 1941, a son of the late Jacob and Gloria Nelson Reedy.

Ron was a United States Army veteran of Vietnam era. He was a retired tool and die maker with the former AMP, Inc., Williamstown.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his boys in the outdoors.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Todd Reedy; two brothers, Jacob and Philip Reedy.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Barbara A. Miller Reedy; two sons, Jeffrey Reedy and his wife Sara, Joliett and Adam Reedy and his wife Barbara, Elizabethtown; two sisters, Louise Welker and Wanda Reedy both of Williamstown; four grandchildren.

Rafaela Urena, 80, of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, July 5th in Shenandoah.

Born on November 20th, 1939 in Janico, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ramon Vargas and Maria Urena.

Rafaela was preceded by her husband, Emilio Jesus Nunez. She leaves behind 2 sons- Elvis and Rody, 3 daughters- Martina, Aurelinda, and Yohanny, 5 siblings- Celida, Flora, Eleonte, Mirella, and Juana. 12 grandchildren- Yael, Nena, Kathelyn, Jerry, Estefany, Yohairys, Joelvis, Yonardy, Jalvi, Miguel, Jamaury, and Jelvi. 6 great-grandchildren- William, Jowell, Jandiel, Aiden, Mikelangelo, and Jerremy. Nieces and nephews- Danny, Nelly, Ronny, Danhazly, Kauryl, Kiara, Brian, Gisely, and Genesis, and in-laws- Miguel, Corina, Julissa, and Michael.

She brought joy, happiness, and laughter to all who met her, and will be missed by everyone. She was brave, loving, funny, and very caring. Rafaela loved spending time with family and going to church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, listening to music, watching television, and taking care of her plants.

Kind words from her family, “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts.”

A viewing for family and friends will be conducted on Thursday, July 9th from 10am until 2pm at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah.
