One Flown After Off-Road Accident near Ashland

One person was flown after an off-road accident near Ashland Sunday afternoon.

Around 12:40pm, emergency personnel from Ashland were dispatched to 13th Street and Race Street for an off-road rescue.

As personnel responded, they were relocated to the area of Eureka Park due to the location of the patient.

Once the patient was accessed, just north of Ashland on a trail, it was determined that it would be best if  EMS accessed the patient from Route 61 near the Schuylkill/Columbia County line.

At this time, Fountain Springs Fire and Aristes Fire were dispatched for their UTV's.

Members of Ashland EMS, Fountain Springs, and Aristes used trails to get to the patient and extricate him to Washington Ambulance and Shenandoah EMS.

The patient was transported to nearby Memorial Field where he was flown via LifeFlight.

Responding to the call were members of the Washington Fire Company and Ambulance, American Hose Company, Shenandoah EMS, Fountain Springs Fire Company, Aristes Fire Company, as well as Ashland Fire Police.
