Lamar R. Moyer, 87, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday, August 4th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St, Pottsville.

Born in Pine Grove, on November 12, 1932, a son of the late Catherine (Rehrer) and Paul Moyer.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor M "Hewes" to whom he was married for 64 years.

He was a lifetime member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a A/1C in the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He retired from Bell Telephone, working in the test center.
He was one of the founding members of the Schuylkill Federal Credit Union, Pottsviille and served on their Board of Directors from 1958-2004.

Lamar is survived by a son, Michael, husband of Donna Moyer, of Pottsville and a daughter, Tammy, wife of George Noecker, of Schuylkill Haven.

He is also survived by grandchildren Catherine Cohick wife of Justin, Christine Sabitsky wife of Jared, Caren Moyer, Ashley Richter wife of Justin and Tanner Noecker husband of Megan; great grandchildren Harlow, Penelope and Landon; and a brother Steven Moyer husband of Sue, Schuylkill Haven.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 11:30 AM on Tuesday, August 11th at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Schuylkill Haven with Rev. David Rowe officiating.

A public viewing will be held 10:30 until the time of the service at the church. Private interment with military honors will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Robert C. Grimes, 82, of Tremont,passed away Wednesday, August 5th.

He was born in Pottstown, April, 3, 1938.

He was a retired furniture finisher.

Janine C. Schreck (Rink)
, age 60, of Minersville, passed away on August, 3rd, 2020 of health complications at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg, Pa.

Daughter to the late Richard and Yvonne Rink, Janine was born in Cortland, NY on June 1st, 1960. She was a United States Air Force Veteran and a graduate of Cincinnatus Central School. She was a long-time caregiver, avid bowler, loving mother and Oma.

Preceded in death by two brothers: Brian and Daniel. Survived by two daughters, Susan - Texas, Shannon and Fiancee Kenneth - Minersville. A son, David and Fiancee Ashley - Hazleton. Two brothers, Dennis Rink and wife Roseanne - Harding, JonPaul Rink and wife Gina - Scranton. Grandchildren, Keegan Schreck, Bryden, Quinn Joseph, Madison Joseph. And many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A burial will be held at the Pharsalia Center Cemetery, Pharsalia, NY at the convenience of the family.

Margaret A. Laurette, 70 of Mahanoy City formerly of Shenandoah passed away on Wednesday morning, August 5, 2020 at HCR ManorCare Health Services, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on January 21, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Monahan) Laurette.

She was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School.

Margaret was employed as a nurse’s aide at the former Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven.

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah formerly Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Glovers Hill Athletic Club, Shenandoah. Margaret was an avid bingo player.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her sister, Anella J. Laurette.

Surviving are her sister, Mary E. Laurette of Mahanoy City formerly of Shenandoah, cousins and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. All federal and state COVID-19 regulations will be observed.

Donations will be accepted by the funeral home to help defray burial costs.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
