Joseph C. Shirvinski, Sr.
, 76, of Barnesville, PA, passed away Friday, September 11th, at Hershey Medical Center, Dauphin County.

Joseph was born in Mahanoy City, PA on March 26, 1944, the son of the late Louise (Zelonis) and Adam F. Shirvinski. Joe graduated from Mahanoy Area, Class of 1962. Upon graduation, he served for 4 years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War era. After serving in the Navy, he accepted a position as Graphics Supervisor for Zapata Industries where he worked for 29 years. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Management from Penn State University during that time. He later served as the Print Shop Manager for Ehlrich Pest Control for 12 years. Joe was also a member of the Humane Fire Co, Pottsville, PA and a member of the B.P.O.E Elks of Mahanoy City, Pa. He was a member of St. Richards Church Barnesville.

He was the husband of Rosemary (Elliott) Shirvinski. Joseph is survived by a daughter, Amy Danisavich, of Cumbola; Two sons Joseph Jr., husband of Wendy Shirvinski, of Mechanicsburg; Jonathan, husband of Lisa Shirvinski, of Hometown; he is also survived by a sister, Lucille Yurchak, of Baltimore, two brothers, CAPT. Adam J., USCG (Ret.), husband of Jean Shirvinski, of Potomac Md.; Paul, husband of Thelma Shirvinski, of Eagle Rock, PA. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren. Maxwell, Abigail, Joseph, Corey, Samantha, Nathan, Molly, Sophia and Madylin

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richards Church, Barnesville, PA, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 16th, with Rev. Eric Tolentino officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Richards Church. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.

Warren W. Thomas
, age 75, of Port Carbon, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on November 7, 1944. Warren was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1962. He then served in the U.S. Air Force as a SGT during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician for Reading Railroad for 21 years and then for P.P. & L. in Berwick until retiring in 2006.
Warren was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville. He was a lifetime member of the Mechanicsville Game and Fish, where he was a treasurer, a member of the Pottsville Masonic Pulaski Lodge #216, where he was Grand Master. Warren loved going fishing, camping, and golfing and was a do it yourself handyman around the house.

Warren is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy (Renninger) Thomas, Port Carbon; two sons: Shawn Thomas, at home and Jason Thomas and his wife Karen, Coopersburg; and two grandsons: Zachary and Alexander.

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11AM on Saturday, September 19th, with Rev. Chris Rotharpt officiating.

A Masonic Service will be held at 10:45AM

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 10-11AM at Funeral Home.
Interment with Military Honors performed by the Saint Clair Veterans Honor Guard will be held in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Port Carbon.

Evelyn Jean Hollan
, 68, of Tamaqua, PA, died on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at home. She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Holland, Jr. to whom she was married 25 years at the time of his death in 2015. 

Born in Summit Hill, PA on June 1, 1952, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Charles O’Gorman and Lenore Davis. For years she worked for the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, Hometown, PA. Later in her career she was a CNA at the Hometown Nursing Home. Evelyn loved to spend time fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She also enjoyed horseback riding and would participate in horse barrel racing. 

Evelyn is survived by children, Mark Yatsko and his wife Norma Jean, Susan Bettis of Barnesville, PA, Christopher Huegel of Mahanoy City, PA, and Travis Huegel of Tamaqua; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous siblings. 

Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with Emma Weaver officiating. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown will follow the services. Call 9-11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in Evelyn's name may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Boulevard, Miami, Florida 33134. 

Attendees are reminded of the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines and are kindly asked to wear a mask and observe physical distancing.

Katherine M. Ney Reed Nagle
, 88, of Tremont, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Manor Care Nursing Home, Lebanon.

Born on June 7, 1932 in Donaldson, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Mabel Romberger Ney.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Joliett.

Katherine worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for Pine Shirt in Pottsville.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Warren "Shorty" Reed; a daughter, Mary Reed; brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her husband of 14 years, Daniel Nagle of Tremont; a son, Robert and wife Vicki Reed of Pine Grove; daughter, Kathy Reed of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Samantha, Jarrod, Jennifer and Brad; many great grandchildren; sister, Dot Artz of Pine Grove.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Joliett with Pastor Ken officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, c/o Lori Bender 59 Main St. Joliett, Pa. 17981 in her memory.
