Ashland Fire Department Informs and Educates Fire Prevention

On Sunday, the Ashland Fire Department held their Annual Fire Prevention Program.

The program is held annually to close Fire Prevention Week to help educate and inform the community about fire safety and what to do to prevent a fire.

To open the week, the Ashland Fire Department held a mini-campaign in the borough to install Carbon Monoxide Detector in borough homes.

Over the past several years, thanks to their installation campaigns, dozens of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have been installed in borough homes for free.

Attending Sunday's program in the Boyer's Market parking lot, The American Hose Company, Washington Fire Company and Rescue, and Washington Ambulance participated.

Fire Chief Phil Groody and Assistant Chief Charlie Orth attended and answered any questions attendees had.
