Fire crews were called to 2 multi-alarm fires in Girardville and Delano Township midday Friday.
At 11:50am, Friday, emergency personnel were called to the area of North 2nd Street and Mahanoy Avenue in Girardville for a working house fire.
The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm calling in additional units.
Crews were able to get to the home quickly and had the fire under control within minutes of arrival.
Not long later, around 12:10pm, Friday, emergency personnel were called to 82 Trenton Road, Delano Township, near Park Place for a working house fire.
As crews arrived, the home was reported to fully involved and a 2nd alarm was issued along with a tanker task force.
As of 12:45pm, firefighters have since cleared the scene of the Girardville incident with some units moving to the Delano Township incident.
