Minnesota Man Wanted for Strangling Woman in Girardville

A Minnesota Man is wanted for an alleged strangling in Girardville on Friday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Friday, October 30th, 2020 around 4:00am, troopers respond to B Street in Girardville for a report of an inactive domestic.

Troopers say, upon arrival, they made contact with a 30 year old woman from Oakdale, Minnesota.  The woman told police that during an altercation, Raymond Hinton, 31, of Saint Paul, Minnesota placed both hands around her throat and hit her in the face several times.

Hinton then stole the victim's vehicle and fled the scene.

The vehicle was later found at the Philadelphia Airport but Hinton was not and believed to have returned to Minnesota. 

State Police have filed charges against Hinton that include strangulation, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, simple assault, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and harassment.
