Born in St. Clair, April 29, 1933, She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Matz) Maste.
She graduated from High School, and worked many years at the Hamburg State Hospital before retiring.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, brother Joseph Maste, sister Jean Kosmari, and a grandson Aaron Mitchell.
Surviving is her daughter, Marie Thomas of Schuylkill Haven; 2 sons Edward Mitchell and his wife Janet of Minersville; Joseph Mitchell of Myrtle Beach; 2 sisters Catherine Renninger of Harrisburg;Joanne Maste of Harrisburg; 6 grandchildren, Brooke Bowers and her husband Johnny, Jason Mitchell and his wife April, Daniel Mitchell, Scott Mitchell and his wife Erin, Jonathan Weiss, Jessica Faust and her husband Tyler, 2 great-granddaughters Callie Weiss and Grammy’s Little Pumpkin, Adalynn Bowers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair. The Rev. Msgr. William F. Glosser will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund at the above address. Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Norwegian Twp. Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, St. Clair, is in charge of arrangements.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers James, Doro, Philip, Raymond, and sisters Frances and Lillian. Surviving are his children; a son, Joseph and his wife Bonnie of Middleport, two daughters, Marie Bartling and her husband Bruce of Malvern, Anne Knapp and her husband Tim of Lebanon.
He is also survived by grandchildren Benjamin Serano and his wife Destinee, Solomon Serano, Sarah and Hannah Bartling, Elliott and Elizabeth Knapp, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nicholas P. Carusella of Pottsville, age 61, died recently of natural causes. A Committal Service was performed on November 6 at Fort Indian Town Gap.
Mr. Carusella is a 1977 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and attended Pennsylvania State University. He enlisted in the Navy on September 18, 1978 and was Honorably Discharged in September 1984, having traveled the world as he served on various aircraft carriers, including the Nimitz as part of the “Black Aces” of Fighting FORTY-ONE (VF-41). He was awarded several commendations and an award throughout his six-year tenure.
Nick, as he is known, was a thoughtful man of keen intellect. He was kind and generous…an old soul who knew the Bible inside and out.
The son of Patrick N. and Isabel A. Carusella (both deceased), Nick leaves behind two loving children, Nicholas (Cressona) and Rachel Carusella (Ryan Frasnelli, Schuylkill Haven) and two adorable twin granddaughters, Vanessa and Victoria. He also departed eight loving sisters, most of whom remain in the general area: Dr. Rita Mattus (Thomas, Long Island); Ann Marie Poslosky (John, Schuylkill Haven); Patricia Madera (Shawn, Pottsville); Rosemary Matz (Schuylkill Haven); Bernadette Guzick (Lake Wynonah); Joanne Spinelli (Anthony, Manheim); Dorothy Doman (Mark, Quakertown); and Maria Swiezak (Tim, Orwigsburg). In addition, he had many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Jason Robert Stephens, beloved Son, Uncle, and Grandson, left our mortal world unexpectedly on November 2nd, 2020, due to complications resulting from a motor vehicle accident.

Dennis M. Walker, 73, of Tremont, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Lancaster, September 3, 1947, a son of the late Francis and Leona Walker Reed.
Dennis was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and volunteered at the Lebanon VA Medical Center for many years.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Yingst Walker; two sisters, Jeannette Uhlrich and Irene Oster, both of East Earl. Nieces and nephews.

Kevin T. Bogan, 64 of Pottsville, died Wednesday at home.
He was born June 19, 1956, in Valley Stream, NY a son of the late William and Margaret McQuade Bogan.
He was a graduate of Central High School, Valley Stream, NY and attended Penn State Schuylkill.
He was a veteran having served in the Navy from 1976-1983.
He was employed by United Metal and Central Penn, prior to retiring.
Kevin was preceded in death by a brother, William Bogan.
Surviving are his wife Lois Stone Bogan; 2 sons, Nick Stone, Blackhawk, Colo, and Kyle Bogan Girardville, a, daughter, Kelsey Bogan, King of Prussia; 3 sisters, Barbara Bogan, Valley Stream, NY, Margaret Greene and her husband Edward, Sicklerville, NJ, Geraldine Esnes and her husband Dennis, Middle Island, NY. A private funeral service will be held Friday from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Virginia M. “Ginny” (Tarkovich) Bell, RN, 87 of Shenandoah Heights passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, November 4, 2020 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born on August 25, 1933 in St. Clair, “Ginny” was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Lescavage) Tarkovich.
Ginny graduated from Pottsville High School in 1951 and the Pottsville Hospital’s School of Nursing in 1954 where she earned her R.N. degree. She dedicated much of her life to the nursing profession, working at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home for over 30 years and retiring at the age of 80.
She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Shenandoah for many years and was currently a member of Divine Mercy Parish in Shenandoah.
She loved going to the Jersey Shore each year and visiting Disney with her family. She also was a life-long fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
Ginny was a loving wife, mother, nana and great-grandmother, calling her five children, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren her family.
Surviving are two daughters Linda Lazur of Pottsville and Virginia “Gina” Lombard and husband Jim of Shenandoah Heights; three sons, Dr. Joseph Bell and his wife Karen of Fogelsville, John “Jack” Bell and his wife Julie of Shenandoah Heights, James “Jim” Bell and his wife Katherine of Somerdale, NJ; twelve grandchildren, Alison and Thomas Lazur, Amy Christeleit and her husband Karl, Sandra Ryan and husband Kevin, Bernie Skaudis and his wife Jana, Christopher, Matthew and Laura Bell, twins Megan and Lena Bell, and Charlie and Julianne Bell; six great-grandchildren, Nina, Dominick, Derek, Brendan, Brady and Gianna; one brother, Michael Tarkovich and wife Christine of North Carolina; nephew and niece, Kevin and Jennifer Tarkovich of North Carolina; additional nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph “Jo-Jo” Bell in 1998 and one brother John “Jack” Tarkovich in 1992.

John T. McGuire, 70 of Ringtown passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, November 5, 2020 at his residence with his loving wife, Peggy at his side.
Born in Shenandoah on July 9, 1950 he was the son of the late John J. and Lottie (Grutza) McGuire.
He was a 1968 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. He then attended the Philadelphia School of Technology for computer training.
John’s fifty-four year career in the grocery supermarket business began at the former Genetti’s Supermarket, Shenandoah. He then worked for the former Anthony’s Supermarket in Frackville as the produce manager and then after being acquired by the former T.J. Bart’s as produce manager and store manager. He then continued as either produce manager or store manager for Boyers at their various locations. Prior to his retirement, he last was employed as a produce manager for Boyer’s Food Markets in Mount Carmel. He was often referred to as the “store ambassador” as he greeted all of his customers with a smile and knew each of them by their name.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.
John was a wonderful and loving husband as well as a devoted brother, uncle, nephew and friend to all.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his aunts who were like mothers to him throughout his life.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Ann “Peggy” Agresto to whom he was married 44 years; one sister, Debra Salvadore and her husband Thomas of Shenandoah; nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and his faithful companion, his Lab “Lu Lu”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 12:00 noon in Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant.
