State Police Looking to Identify Man Who Set Fire in Porter Township

The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident after a fire was started in Porter Township.

According to police, on October 27th, 2020, around 10:40pm, Troopers responded to 500 West Grand Avenue, Porter Township, the Porter Tower Lions Club, for a report of a fire.

During the investigation, police learned that an unknown male set a red athletic style gym bag containing clothing on fire on the steps of the club.  Tower City Fire Department responded was able to quickly put out the fire.

The suspect involved was described to be approximately 5'10" to 6' tall, wearing khaki pants, white and black hooded sweatshirt and was carrying a black back pack.
