No injuries were reported in a single vehicle crash in New Castle Township on Wednesday morning.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred on West Mount Laffee Road around 6:50am.
Troopers say the crash occurred as Christopher Heckman, 41, of Saint Clair was traveling east in a RAM 1500 when he attempted to avoid an animal in the roadway. As Heckman swerved to avoid, he hit ice on the roadway and lost control and struck a tree.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and required towing from the scene.
Heckman refused treatment and was reported not to be injured.
