William F. O'Neill, Sr.
, 89, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, December 6th, at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, on September 20, 1931, a son of the late Rose A (Fishola) and David J. O'Neill.

He was the widower of Dorothy A. "Dolly" (Holzer) O'Neill, who passed away October 9, 2016.

He served in the U.S. Army and in 1955, Bill opened his own upholstery shop in Schuylkill Haven, Kustom Kraft. He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

He is survived by two daughters, Diane E. Crouse & husband, David, Deer Lake, and Karen M. Strickland & husband, James, Jr., Pottsville, and six sons; William F. O'Neill, Jr., Pottsville, John D. O'Neill & wife, Patty, Orwigsburg, James P. O'Neill & wife, Patrice, Lenhartsville, Joseph M. O'Neill & wife, Diane, Pottsville, Jeffrey L. O'Neill & wife, Shelly L., Hamburg, and Patrick K. O'Neill, Schuylkill Haven.

He is also survived by grandchildren; Jason & Brian Crouse, Daniel O'Neill, Colleen (O'Neill) Segal, Katy (O'Neill) Wray, Kelly (O'Neill) Nunemacher, Kyle O'Neill, Christopher O'Neill, Erin, Briana & Shannon Strickland, Connor O'Neill and Samantha & Victoria O'Neill, eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Bill is preceded in death by grandson, Joseph O'Neill, daughter in law Stacie O'Neill and brothers David and Francis O'Neill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, December 14 at 10:30 am with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.

A visitation will be held prior from 9:30 - 10:15 at the Church.

Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

At the family's request, memorial donations may be made to St. Ambrose Building Fund, 201 Randel Street, Schuylkill Haven PA 17972.

Ronald W. Umphrey, 77, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 6th, at his residence with his wife by his side.

Ron was born in Pottsville, on November 3, 1943, a son of the late Mary Marguerite (Mengel) and William Miller Umphrey.

He was the husband of Margaret Shirley (San Souci) Umphrey. They were married April 7th, 2015.

Ronald was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg and he served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.

During his life he was employed as an Industrial Electrician, working in local Malls. Ron was an avid golfer and also enjoyed Metal Detecting.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, Ronald is survived by his daughter, Kari Richards; son, Mark Umphrey, husband of Dana Lewis-Umphrey. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Morgan Umphrey. He is preceded in death by his first wife Carol ( Rathje) Umphrey.

Private services are entrusted to the Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Orwigsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Tribute Program, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959, in Ron’s memory.

Bessie Helen Meyer, 102 years of age formerly of Race Street, Ashland, PA passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2020 at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab. 

Born in Ashland, PA July 1,1918 the son of the late Charles and Helen Martin. She was married to Aloysius Meyer who preceded her in death in 1981. She was a lifelong resident of Ashland. 

She is survived by a son, John and his wife, Eleanor of Danville, PA. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

Graveside funeral services will be held at a later date. 

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
