Vehicle Stolen from Pottsville Recovered near Frackville

A vehicle stolen from the Pottsville area on Christmas day was recovered near Frackville.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on December 25th, 2020 around 1:30pm, troopers responded to the area of Mall Road and Route 61 in Ryan Township near Frackville for a report of a recovered stolen vehicle.

Through an investigation, troopers learned that Sean Clemens, 28, of Myerstown stole the Green Subaru from Pottsville earlier in the day.

Clemens was taken into custody and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Plachko on charges of receiving stolen property and providing false identification to police.

Clemens was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.

Since the incident, a preliminary hearing was held where the charges were waived for court.
