As of 9:00pm, investigators were still at the scene where a body was found Friday evening near Mahanoy City.
The body was found in a wooded area near the intersection of Route 54 and East End Road on the Vulcan Hill in Mahanoy Township.
The investigation was still ongoing, but Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Dave Truskowsky was at the scene and said he pronounced the person dead around 8:20pm.
Mahanoy Township Police and State Police Detectives as well as a Forensic Team were still at the scene.
