Lyola R. "Nana" (Waltersdorf) Wagner
, 101, entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening, March 16, at her home in Ashland surrounded by her loving family and pets.
Born June 30, 1919, in St. Clair, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Pauline (Penk) Waltersdorf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William E. Wagner; son William A. Wagner; sisters Emma, Martha, and Ruth; and a brother Baby Boy Waltersdorf.

Lyola was a member of St. John's Kimmel Church of Ashland. She loved her pets and all animals. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, snacking, and playing with her great grandson.

She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Reblock wife of the late John Reblock; daughter-in-law Helen Wagner; her very best friend and constant companion, Lila; grandchildren Kelly Snyder wife of Michael, John Reblock III husband of Sue, Melanie Dalton wife of Russ, Billie Jo Wagner, Lisa Spotts, and Valerie Roser wife of Scott. She is also survived by great grandchildren Alexander Snyder husband of Nikki, Johnathan Snyder husband of Courtney, Jordyn Reblock, Victoria Boughan, Aiden Dalton; great great grandson Soloman Snyder.

Lyola is survived by many very much loved step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 22 at Noon at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville PA 17901. Pastor Bonnie Yeager will be officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11AM until time of service. Interment will be held on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
The family would prefer contributions be made in Lyola's memory to St. John's Kimmel Church Ashland, 1263 Deep Creek Rd, Ashland, PA 17921 or the Hillside SPCA 51 S P C A Rd, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Mildred M. Mengel
, 78, Pottsville entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening March 16, 2021, at her residence.

Born July 29, 1942, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Catherine (Williams) Maroukis.

She was a Graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos with her friends. She worked at Giant Foods as a cashier for 16 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother George Maroukis; and sisters Anna Santai and Rose Marie Maroukis.

Mildred is survived by her husband Carl R. Mengel; son James Mengel, daughters Catherine Lukach and Lynn Memke; grandchildren Nicole Lukach, Joseph Lukach, Natalie Smith, Joshua Senkus, and Javon M. Memke; and great grandchildren Cole Lukach, Alexander Chillemi, Angelo Chillemi, Rosalia Chillemi, and Liam Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, March 24 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville PA 17901. Interment will be held on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer contributions to St. Patrick’s Memorial Fund in memory of Mildred.

Robert J. "Bobby" Rita, Sr., 78 years of age, a longtime Tamaqua resident, and recent guest of Maple Shade Senior Living of Nesquehoning passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem.

Born Saturday, April 4, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. the son of the late John G., and Angeline (Morfy) Rita. Bob was also predeceased by his wife Mary E. (Haggerty) Rita on July 13, 1990; sister, Anita D. Moyer on September 16, 1997.

Surviving are; daughter, Kristen "Krissy" Rita of Portland, OR, sons, Robert “Bobo” J. Rita, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Annville, Anthony "Tony" Rita and his wife SueAnne of Garnet Valley; brother, John G. Rita and his wife Martha Jane of Hershey; grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin, and Erica; nieces, nephews, and his dear friend Chloe Gayda.

A graduate of Tamaqua High School, Bob served honorably in the Army National Guard. He worked for the former Atlas Powder Company of Reynolds for over 30 years.

Bobby was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, the South Ward Fire Company, Tamaqua Italian Club, and Coaldale Lions Club. An ardent supporter of Tamaqua Sports, Bobby was a member of the chain gang working home football games for the Blue Raiders, and was a former member of the Tamaqua Football Booster having spent countless hours in the French Fry stand on Friday night home games.

Interment will be in St. Jerome's R.C. C. Cemetery Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Bernard G. "Bernie" Bowman, Jr.
, 73, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, February 26, 1948, a son of the late Bernard and Arlene Bowman.

Bernie was a graduate of Williams Valley High School. He was a retired service manager at Air Brake and Power Equipment Company, Pottsville. He still enjoyed helping out there whenever he could after retirement.

He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, St Clair. Bernie could often be found volunteering at the Salvation Army. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, his church family and his cats.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Readinger.

Surviving are his four children, Angel Vidal (Bud), Pottsville; Gayle Bowman, Muir; Bernard Bowman, Pottsville and AaronBowman (Linda), Pottsville; three step-children, Patrick Murphy (Michelle), St. Clair; Tina Schaeffer (John), Port Carbon and David Plappert (Dorry), Minersville; three sisters, Beverly Bowman, Reading; Sherry Challenger (Glen), Tower City and Peggy Schaeffer, Tower City; one brother, Darrin Bowman (Gale), Schuylkill Haven. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date from the Bethlehem Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1 N. Front St. St. Clair, PA 17970.

Dolores Schlauch, 81, of Zion Grove, passed away on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021.

Dolores was born in Shenandoah, on August 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Mary (Robel) and James Hilbert, and she attended and graduated from the Shenandoah High School.

A lifelong homemaker, Dolores was a very talented cook as well as a kind person who would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed shopping, especially going to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane and a brother, Jimmy Hilbert.

Dolores is survived by her daughter and four sons, Linda Schlauch, Donald, Bill, John, and David and Schlauch, and by her step sister, Theresa Price and also by her former husband, Donald Schlauch, Sr.

She is also survived by many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.

Dolores will be laid to rest at the Nuremberg Cemetery during family services at a later date.
