Eleanor B. (Icky) Sandherr, 97, of Orwigsburg, passed away Saturday, March 27th.

Eleanor was born in Orwigsburg on September 18, 1923, a daughter of the late Helen (Bensinger) and George Shoener. She was the widow of Galen M. Sandherr, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Eleanor was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School, class of 1941. During her lifetime, she enjoyed working in the cafeteria of Blue Mountain School District. She was very active in her community and her church. She was a seamstress, a wonderful cook and liked to sing in the choir.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Jodi Sandherr of Lancaster; granddaughter Christin Creznic, married to Nate Creznic of Harrisburg; great grandchildren Ethan, Eli and Emma; her sister-in-law Martha Shoener; nieces Carol Chismar, wife of Paul, Patricia Shoener, and nephew Craig Fahringer,

She was preceded in death by daughter Janet M. Fidler in 1996; sisters Mildred Deibert, Margaret LeVan, Jean Kovach and her brother George "Gum" Shoener as well as an infant sister.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 11 AM at Salem United Methodist Church in Orwigsburg with Pastor Steward Warner officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private.

Mary L. Correll
, age 92, of St. Clair, PA , formerly of Port Carbon, passed away on Sunday, March 28th, 2021 at The Gardens at York Terrace in Pottsville.

Born in Palo Alto, PA on July 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Wanamaker) Reilly.

Mary worked as a knitter at H.L. Miller and Son's in Port Carbon and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Port Carbon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Lester J. Correll, two sons: Donald and Brian Correll, a grandson Eric Correll, a sister Gertrude Miller, and two brothers: Robert and John Reilly

Mary is survived by three daughters: Judith Stephenson, Pottsville, and Cheryl Correll and Cynthia Bynon, which who she lived with in Saint Clair; five sons: Gary Correll, Saint Clair; Michael Correll, Middleport; Timothy Correll, Mechanicsville; Thomas Correll, Saint Clair; and Mark Correll, Palo Alto; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services and interment will be held private for her family.

Michael H. Startzel
, 36 years of age, of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania was pronounced deceased on Friday, March 26, 2021, in Mahanoy Township after being declared missing in mid February.

Born Tuesday, May 15, 1984 in Pottsville; he is survived by; mother, Denise Marie Rosohac and her companion Robert Fitzpatrick; father, Howard W. Startzel II and his wife Donna; sisters, Christina Marie Startzel, Monica A. Kotzmoyer and her companion Michael Spirko; brother, Nathaniel Kotzmoyer; maternal grandmother, Rosemary "Cookie" Rosohac; step sisters, Angelique Parsons and her husband Greg Goldberg, Patricia Vermillion - Peirce and her husband Chris. Many nieces and nephews also survive Michael.

Michael was predeceased by his brother, Cassidy Robert Startzel.

Michael had a strong faith in his Lord. He enjoyed long walks, listening to music, watching professional wrestling, and the companionship of his animals. He will be greatly missed by all.

Annette Marie Miscannon
, 73, passed away on Monday, March 29th, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Annette was born on August 23rd, 1947 in William Penn, Pennsylvania to the late Anna and Francis Witcoski.

In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased in death by her siblings, Francis Witcoski, Marian Pronio, Raymond Witkoski, Norita Zuby, and Gerald Witcoski. She is survived by her husband Joseph of 52 years, son Joseph Jr. and wife Gina and grandchild Ellie Marie. She is also survived by her brothers, Joseph and John Witcoski, nieces and nephews.

Annette graduated of J.W. Cooper High School class of 1966, and Reading Business Institute, Reading, Pa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, April 6th at Divine Mercy Parish, 108 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah with Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian officiating. Friends are invited to her viewing from 9am until time of mass at the church. Interment will be held at 12:30pm in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

Shirley M. Paul
, 85 of Pottsville, died Monday at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

She was born August 15, 1935 in Mt. Carmel a daughter of the late James D. and May Shutt Kehler.

She was a graduate of Pottsville High School.

She was employed by Reidler Decal, St. Clair prior to retiring.

Shirley was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Pottsville where she sang in the choir and was part of the TriMus Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rev. Debra M. Paul; a grandson, J.P. Kramer.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Loman E. Paul; 3 daughters, Audrey Brahler, Mount Carbon; Sandy Ginther and her husband, Michael, Marriottsville, MD; Candy Paul, Mount Carbon; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Greco and her husband Steven, Matthew Brahler and Michael Ginther; 1 great-granddaughter, Natalie; Nieces and nephews.

Services celebrating the life of Shirley will be held Thursday at 11AM from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30-11AM at the funeral home. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 North Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
