Emergency crews are on Interstate 81 at the scene of a crash between Frackville and Mahanoy City.
Around 1:00am, emergency personnel shut down the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 81 between Exit 124 and Exit 131 for a multi-vehicle accident.
As of 1:20am, the Interstate was closed.
State Police say the crash was caused due to icy conditions.
UPDATE: Northbound lanes opened around 3:00am and Southbound lanes opened around 3:30am.
