Francis James Norris, 69, of New Boston, PA, passed away Monday, April 12th, at his residence.

Francis was born in Mahanoy City, PA on October 13, 1951, a son of the late Agnes (Lorent) and William Norris.

He attended local schools.

Francis worked at the former Fiberite in Delano.

Francis is also survived by a sister, Joann, husband of Vincent Suzadial, of Summit Hill.

Friends and family may call Friday at 10am at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA at 11am.

Charles A. Shamonsky
, 80, of Virginia Beach, VA and formerly of Hometown, PA, died on Monday April 12, 2021 in Virginia Beach. He was the husband of the late Virginia (nee Ambrose) Shamonsky to whom he was married 48 years at the time of her death in 2016. 

Born in Pottsville, PA on August 7, 1940, Charles was a son of the late Frank and Mary (nee Devigili) Shamonsky. He attended Tamaqua schools and served in the Navy. Charles was a union brick layer and was a member of the boiler room staff at the former Atlas Company and ICI America, retiring from ICI in 1998. He was a member of The Parish of St. John XXIII, Tamaqua and the South Ward Fire Company, Tamaqua. 

He is survived by daughter, Nancy and her husband Ryan Rowinski of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Charles E. Shamonsky and his wife Karen of New Orleans, LA; two grandchildren, Mark Shamonsky and Kaitlyn Shamonsky; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Roscoe. 

In addition to his wife, Charles was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Frank. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 19 in St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua. 

Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown will follow the mass. Call 3-5 PM on Sunday, April 18 and 9-10:30 AM on Monday, April 19 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. 

Memorials in Charles’s name may be made to Hillside SPCA, PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Attendees are reminded of the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines and are kindly asked to wear a mask and observe physical distancing.

Margaret Ann (Kellett) Steele
, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale, Pennsylvania at 88 years of age.

Born Saturday, June 18, 1932 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. the daughter of the late John, and Mary Ann (Zimmerman) Kellett. Margaret was also predeceased by; her husband John Joseph Steele on Dec. 9, 1985; sons, William Steele, Paul J. Steele; sisters, Mabel (Zimmerman) Calder, Emily (Kellett) Rodgers, Beatrice (Kellett) Rodgers, Marie (Kellett) Hill, Hannah (Kellett) Whitnal, Betty (Kellett) Sherry; brothers, Harry, William, Jack, Sam, Howard, Earl Kellett.

Surviving are sons, John W. "Jack" Steele and his wife Louise of Tamaqua, Richard T. Steele and his wife Karen of Norwegian Township; daughters, Diane M. Simmons of Tamaqua, Jean Louise Steele of Selinsgrove, Ruth A. Ward wife of Thomas of Tamaqua, Doris J. Hosler wife of Bruce of Tamaqua; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grand children. Many nieces and nephews also survive Margaret.

A Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Margaret was protestant by faith. Margaret worked in the Textile Industry for many years. She was a member of I.L.G.W. Workers Union. Margaret enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and could be seen on many walks throughout our community. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 16, 2021 at noon from the funeral home. Friends may call from 10:30 A.M. until time of services.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
