Dawn E. Rodnick, 74, of Marlin, passed away Tuesday, April 20th, at her residence.

Born in Cressona, on January 20, 1947, a daughter of the late Louise (Houtz) and Aaron Shirey.

She was the wife of Joseph Rodnick, Jr.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukranian Catholic Church, Minersville. She loved playing Candy Crush and she had a love/hate relationship with the Phillies. She lived by the mantra "take each day, day by day."

She was formerly employed by Rodnick's Discount Groceries, Minersville for 25 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws Joseph, Sr. and Julia Rodnick.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Bert Rodnick husband of Michele, Schuylkill Haven and Joseph Rodnick, III and fiancé Shannon Hoffman, Shenandoah and grandchildren Devin, Joie, Kelsey, Shane, Jacob and Doug. She loved all her animals, especially her dog Roxy.

Services and interment will be held privately.

Ernest F. Swenson
, 94 years of age, of Patterson Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Heritage Hills Senior Living Center in Weatherly Pennsylvania.

Born Friday, May 14, 1926 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Ernest S., and Kathryn (Kellner) Swenson. Ernest was also predeceased by; his beloved wife, Helen Linda (Yemm) Swenson on August 6, 2011; brothers, Robert, and Jack Swenson.

Surviving are son, Robert E. Swenson of Tamaqua; daughter, Alice L. Fennell wife of Tim of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ryan Fennell and his wife Holly, Casey Fennell and her husband Jordan; sister, Betty Kochinsky of Eagleville. Many nieces and nephews also survive Ernest.

A member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Ernest retired from the U.S. Postal Service having delivered mail in Tamaqua for over 37 years. A member of the Tamaqua American Legion, Ernest enjoyed golfing, and was an ardent supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Phillies.

Ernest served honorably during WWII in the United States Army as a member of the 157th Infantry Division in Europe.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 23, 2021 at 11 o'clock A.M. Friends may call on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Interment with Military Honors to be bestowed will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
