Stasia G. Cartwright, 100, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, April 25th, at Seton Manor.

Born in Manayunk, on August 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Frances (Lescavage) and Stanley Gawrys.

She was the widow of Roy E. Cartwright, Sr.

Stasia was a graduate of St. Clair High School, where she was Valedictorian. She was last employed by the former Hills Department Store.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son Roy E. Cartwright, Jr.

She is survived by her children John W., Tremont, JoAnn Dillman, Orwigsburg, Robert P. , Texas, Darlene S., Oregon, Dolores Quinter, Schuylkill Haven, Janice R. Cartwright, Seton Manor and Alvin Todd, Cressona; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one brother Charles Gawrys, California.

Services and interment will be held privately.

Elaine M. Kreiser, 63, of Glore Dr., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.

Born on August 30, 1957 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Hazel and Marie Tobias Miller.

She was a 1975 graduate of Pine Grove High School.

Elaine was a Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor for Tremont Health & Rehab, and then worked for Waterbridge in Pine Grove.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play baseball and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William F. Kreiser.

Surviving are a son, Daniel and wife Ashley Hummel of Jim Thorpe; a daughter Terri LeVan and companion Mike Rissinger of Valley View; six grandchildren, Savannah Hummel, Elijah Killian, Liam LeVan, Dani Hummel, Dakota Hummel, and Noah Hummel; a brother, Mark Miller of Donaldson and a sister, Kris Shaud of Tremont.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.

Angelica Fort Schwalm
, age 26, of Port Carbon, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 25th, 2021 in Columbia County. 

Born in Pottsville, PA on January 26, 1995, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. Fort and Christine M. Straka, who survives her in Port Carbon. Angelica was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 2013. She worked as a front end manager for Boyer's in Orwigsburg. 

In addition to her Father, she was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Andrew Straka Jr and paternal grandmother Annette Fort In addition to her Mother, she is survived by her husband of 6 years, Joshua M. Schwalm, Pottsville; a son Connor R. Schwalm, Pottsville; maternal grandmother Dolores Straka, Friedensburg; sister Rachel; brother Ricky; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday April 29th from 6-8PM at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon.

Richard M. Zeller
, 83 of Ellenton, Fl formerly of Palo Alto, died Sunday April 11, 2021.

He was born in Pottsville a son of the late Karl A. Sr., and Ada Mars Zeller.

He attended Pottsville Schools.

Richard was a owner of Zeller's Plumbing and Heating, and co-owner of Zellers Market and Treat Shop.

Richard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and Walter Griffiths AMVETS Post 180, Pottsville, and was an assistant scout master.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Karl A. Zeller, Jr., a sister, Dolores Frantz and a nephew, Christopher Frantz.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years of marriage Darlene Kemfort Zeller, Ellenton, FL; a sister, Karlene Myro, Huston TX; nieces and nephews.

Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday at 7:30PM from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6:30PM until the time of services at the church. Masks are required. The family would pefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Richard be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901 or Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment with military honors will be held 11AM Thursday at Indiantown National Cemetery, Annville. A funeral procession to the cemetery will gather at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, from 9-9:30AM Thursday.
