St. Joseph Center for Special Learning 65th Anniversary Gala Honorees


St. Joseph Center for Special Learning honored two community members and one staff member at the St. Joseph Center for Special Learning 65th Anniversary Diamond Gala, held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Mountain Valley Seasons Restaurant in Barnesville, PA.

Wayne & Debra Herring were recognized with the St. Joseph Center for Special Learning Faith and Service Award. This award is presented to someone who has demonstrated outstanding and continued service to SJC and their mission of educating and supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Christ-centered environment to reach their maximum potential, while helping them lead dignified and meaningful lives.

Mrs. Jean Mahall was recognized with the Monsignor Boyle Legacy of Caring Award. This award is presented to a staff member who has positively affected the lives of SJC students, adults, and their families. This individual works tirelessly with other staff members to meet the unique intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of every child and adult that St. Joseph Center for Special Learning serves.
