Peter Pengrin, 92, of 153 Weston Place, Shenandoah, passed away on Friday, June 11th, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill East, Pottsville, Pa.

Born in Lost Creek on June 4th, 1929, he was the son of the late Metro and Anna “Wasilko” Pengrin. Peter was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He then worked as a truck driver and then retired as a welder for the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

He was the last of 11 children having been preceded by 10 brothers and sisters.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Dolores “Chernesky” Pengrin, 1 son, Peter J. Pengrin with his wife Sherri– Ringtown, 1 daughter, Darlene Mlynek with her husband – Leon – Ringtown, 1 grandson, Kevin with Michelle, and 2 step-grandsons, Robert with Monica and Douglas.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 15th from 8:30am to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Parastas Services will conducted at 10:30am by Msgr. Myron Grabowsky. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Stephen (Steve) Liscusky of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2021.

Steve was born on September 18, 1969, in Ashland, Pennsylvania to Stephen and Arlene Liscusky.

He attended high school at Brookland Cayce High School. After graduating Steve’s home has remained within the West Columbia community where he was known and loved by many.

Steve was an avid Gamecock fan who enjoyed spending his Saturdays tailgating at Carolina Football games, loved traveling to the beach, cruising, playing golf, and most importantly spending time with his family.

He was loved by so many, and respected by all, he was always humble and kind, and he was known for his contagious personality which always brightened the room that he was in. He lived and loved life to his fullest till the very last day.

He was preceded in death by his mother Arlene Liscusky, brother Kenny Young, and grandparents.

He is survived by his children Callee (Alex) Jumperand Stephen Liscusky, the mother of his children Stephanie Liscusky, his granddaughter Savannah Rose Hallman-Liscusky, his parents Stephen and Sandy Liscusky, his siblings Scott (Angie) Liscusky, Mike (Mel)Young, and Teri (Mike) Richburg, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the staff of Amedisys Home Health Care for all their help over the past few months.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brookland Cayce High School Education Foundation.

Steve’s Celebration of Life will be held at Holland Avenue Baptist Church in Cayce on June 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will occur immediately following the Celebration of Life.
