William M. Green
, 87, of Ashland, Pa passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Geisinger-Shamokin Hospital, Shamokin, PA. Born September 21, 1933, in the former Ashland State Hospital, the son of the late Malcolm and Rose Green.

He graduated from Ashland High School, Class of "52" and joined the Marine Corps.
After a short stint in Korea, he spent the rest of his enlistment in Japan. He attended Williamsport Technical Institute and became a member of the Pipefitters Union #524 Scranton where he worked as a pipefitter for 38 years.

He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and American Legion, all of Ashland. He was an active member of the Legion for 65 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Betty) Vaughn in 2015, and a grandson, James. He is survived by a daughter Susanne (Green) Lushinsky, a granddaughter Hayley, and a grandson, Jacob.

He was a dog lover and was always seen with "Buddy", a faithful companion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland, PA with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. 

Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs, PA Viewing will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland and Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the church. 

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Charles Heizenroth III, Supervisor.

Joseph Wendling, 75, of Girardville, passed away on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at his home.

Born in Vineland, NJ, on December 2nd, 1945 he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (Smith) Wendling.

Joseph worked as a mechanic and truck driver for many years.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Carol (Bigioni) Wendling, 3 sons, Joseph Wendling with his wife Mary – New Jersey, Dean Wendling with his wife Erin – Frackville, and Eric Wendling with his wife Janine – Oklahoma. 1 daughter, Lena Emerich with her husband Craig – New Ringgold, 1 brother, Michael Wendling – New Jersey, 1 sister, Sandra Erikson – New Jersey, also 7 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

No services will be scheduled at this time.

Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah are entrusted with the arrangements.
