Lamar F. Artz, 92, of Pine Grove, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Hegins, April 28, 1929, a son of the late Clarence and Irene Klouser Artz. He was a graduate of the former Tremont High School. Lamar served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army.

Lamar was a retired heavy equipment operator and had been a coal miner for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and could often be found looking for "treasures" with his metal detector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, John Artz and a brother Leroy Dinger.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Dorothy E. Ney Artz; two sons, David Artz, Pine Grove and Russell Artz (Lori), Tower City; three grandchildren, Jessica, Sean and Lindsey Artz; five great grandchildren, Isabella, Sean David, Valerie, Zane and Maddox. Three brothers, Earl Dinger, Newtown, Richard Dinger, Donaldson and Jerry Dinger, Molleystown. One sister, Mary Ferrebee, Pine Grove, nieces and nephews.

Lamar will be laid to rest privately with Military Honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Mark P. Rissinger, age 70, of Sacramento, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on August 25, 1950, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Robert and Mary Downey Rissinger.

He was a graduate of Tri Valley High School, Class of 1968.

Mark worked many years as maintenence/\groundskeeper for Hidden Valley Golf Course, Pine Grove.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento.

He is survived by his wife Darlene, to whom he was married for 52 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Chuck and wife Karin Rissinger; Mike Rissinger and fiancé Terri LeVan, all of Sacramento; grandson, Kirk Rissinger of Campbell, NY; grandchild, Florian Spece of Kutztown; two brothers, Matt and wife Maggie Rissinger of Audobon; Luke and wife Kay Rissinger of Pottsville; and two step sisters.

Services will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Raymond W. Holland III, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bonnie T. Remaley, 73, of Ashland, PA announces her unexpected passing on Thursday afternoon, August 19, 2021. She was the widow of Charles (Chuck) J. Remaley, who passed away in 2016. 

Born June 4, 1948, in Shenandoah, PA. She was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Kathleen (Cook) Kershetsky. She attended St. Canicus Catholic School and was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School Class of 1967. She was employed by Villa Fashions where she worked until she dedicated her life to her husband, family and beloved pets. Bonnie was a devoted wife to her husband of 42 years. She loved working in the garden, trips to the casino, cooking and entertaining, shopping with her sisters, watching old movies, especially The Wizard Oz, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie was very patriotic and loved her country. She will truly be missed by family and friends and her dog, Rocky. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Irene M. Walters, her father and mother in law, Charles W. and Elizabeth Remaley. 

Bonnie is survived by a sister, Kathleen V. Kershetsky, Delano and fiancĂ© John Sabaitis; Brother-in-law, Paul D. Walters, husband of the late Irene Walters, Barnesville and their 3 children Melissa Honus, Christy Senglar and Paul Walters Jr; brother John Kershetsky and wife Debbie, Mahanoy City, their children John, Scott and Neil Kershetsky; sister-in-law Denise, wife of Stephen Adams, Danville and their children Maura and Jonathan Adams and an Aunt, Nancy Moore, Frackville. Three great nieces Caitlin and Carly Honus, and Kaylee Senglar. 

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville,PA. A public viewing will be held Tuesday, August 24,2021 6:00-8:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the Pioneer Tunnel, 19th Oak Street Ashland, PA 17921 or the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland,PA is in charge of arrangements.
