Dolores Rose Urbanavage Zemantauski
, age 85, of Leesburg, VA, formerly of Port Carbon, PA, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021, at her home in Leesburg. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Urbanavage Jr (Herky). Dolores was born September 22, 1935 in Lansford, PA to the late Joseph and Mary (Brazenec) Galgoci.

Dolores graduated from St. Ann High School, Lansford, Class of 1953 and from the Schuylkill County Vocational-Technical School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1980. She worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville until she retired in 1998.

Dolores was an avid quilter and created many quilts for family and friends. She loved polka dancing and traveling and was able combine both on many of her trips, including a visit to her ancestral home town of Hlohovec in Slovakia. She enjoyed attending many of her grandchildren’s activities, as well as going on vacations with them.

Dolores is survived by daughter Donna Kowalick (spouse Richard) of Sterling, VA; son Mark Urbanavage (spouse Sandy) of Molino, FL; daughter Karen Shaw (spouse Joseph) of Pottsville, PA; son Walter Urbanavage (spouse Carolyn) of Ambler, PA; eight grandchildren: Philip, Thomas, Elise, Matthew, Kristen, Kasie, Adeline and Abigail; four brothers: Joseph Galgoci (spouse Marie) of Lansford, PA, Leonard Galgoci (spouse Elizabeth) of High Point, NC, Francis Galgoci (spouse Judy) of Jim Thorpe, PA, and James Galgoci of Lehighton, PA; sister Evelyn Moyer (spouse Thomas) of Coaldale, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.? Dolores was predeceased by her brother Richard (spouse Mary Ann) of Nesquehoning, PA.

Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Dolores’ life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Schuylkill Memorial Park chapel. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services beginning at 11:00 A.M. Internment will take place immediately after in Schuylkill Memorial Park. Donations can be made in memory of Dolores to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 10th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Visitation starts at 9:30 AM in the funeral home.

Interment, with military honors, will be at Kimmels Cemetery Orwigsburg.
