Richard D. Rumberger, Sr.
, 52, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, September 8th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. 

Richard was born in Pottsville, on September 22, 1968, a son of Margaret (Kostishak) Rumberger and the late Robert Rumberger Sr. He was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School Class of 1987. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was employed as a Machinist in the plastics industry at Tredegar for 20 years. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an Uncle, Charles Rumberger. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an ardent fan of the New England Patriot’s football team.

He is survived by his fiancee’, Harriet Strouphauer, three sons, Richard D. Rumberger Jr., Andrew D. Rumberger and his companion Jen, and Seth C. Rumberger. Two daughters, Toriana A, Rumberger and her companion, Parrish , and Kristina L, wife of Matt Schwenk. He is also survived by three sisters, Margaret Gradwell, Carrie Brown, and Patricia Burns, two brothers, Robert Rumberger Jr. and Gary Rumberger. 

He is also survived by 5 grandchildren & 13 nieces and nephews. 

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 14th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. in Minersville, with the Reverend Julian Milewski officiating. 

A Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service. Interment at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the American Red Cross https://www.redcross.org/donations. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
