Brian D. Wescoe
, 59, of Breinigsville, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the companion of Karen E. Denner with whom he resided. Born in Allentown, he was the son of The Reverend William and Janet (Green) Wescoe of Allentown. For 37 years, he worked as a paramedic for various EMS Agencies, most recently full time at Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Services. He was a faithful member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Kutztown, PA

Brian was an avid rock music lover, knowing song lyrics, playing air drums and attending concerts. Mostly, he will be remembered for spending time with his granddaughter Gabi and he will be greatly missed by his canine companions Anya and Auggie.

Survivors: Parents and companion Karen; daughter Nicole G. and her husband James Thompson of Frackville; brothers Blair and his wife Linda of Mechanicsburg and their sons Jonathan and Caden, Jason and his husband Derek of Tampa, Fl,; granddaughter Gabrielle, step grandson Devin Thompson.

Services will be private.

Elaine Mae Sparrow, 49, of Auburn, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, at Geisinger St. Luke's, Orwigsburg.

Born on Oct. 10, 1971, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Betty (Blakeslee) Noecker, of Auburn, and the late Samuel Noecker.

Elaine was a graduate of Blue Mountain, Class of 1990. She then attended McCann School of Business and received her associate degree. She was employed by Metal Sales Manufacturing, Deer Lake.

She was a member of Hawk Mountain Church, Molino.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, Zach Sparrow, Simpson, Brett Dougherty, Elizabethtown, and Kirk Doughtery, Orwigsburg; a granddaughter on the way, Abigail Sparrow; siblings, Florence, Richard, Ginny, Charlie, Joyce, Bill, Miriam, Rusell, Faith, Michelle, Samuel and Vennetta.

She was preceded in death by her nephews, Ray Keeney and Paul Yerger III, and a niece, Becca Porkrandt.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove, with Pastor Ben Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Schuylkill Church of the Brethern Cemetery, Pine Grove. At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 East Main Street, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972, to help defray the costs of the funeral.

Mark A. Snyder, 82, of Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Rosewood Rehab and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven.

Born on July 26, 1939, he was the son of the late Allen and Emma Snyder.

Mark was a Custodian for the Pine Grove Area School District.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Pine Grove.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 55 years, Shirley I. Yorty Snyder.

Surviving is a son, Daniel and wife Betty Snyder of Lebanon.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Ira Lydic officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 19 E. Pottsville St., P.O. Box 68, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.

Andrew “Kelly” Honnage
, 98, of Jonestown, Cass Twp. passed away Friday September 10th , with his family at his side, at Luther Ridge Assisted Living where he resided the past 2 years.

Born in Forestville Dec 11, 1922, he was a son of the late John and Eva (Kuper) Honnage.

He was a proud graduate of Cass Twp High School Class of 1940. He attended many class reunions. Kelly was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He retired from Exxon Chemical in MarLin in 1985.

A devout member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville, he attended daily Mass for many years. He was a life member of the Forestville Fire Co. since 1946 and enjoyed his weekly visits and telling stories from the past to the younger generation. He was a social member of the South Cass Fire Co. where he looked forward to shooting pool with his buddies until he was 95. An avid Phillies, Eagles and Penn State fan, he also attended many sporting events at Minersville High School.

He enjoyed morning coffee and camaraderie at “Poncho’s” coffee shop with his many friends, many of whom have passed away. He enjoyed visits to Gettysburg National Cemetery where his brother is buried. He also made 2 trips to California, the latest when he was 89 years old. He touched the lives of many and never had anything bad to say, never complained and lived life to the fullest.

Family was very important to Kelly and he enjoyed time spent with many of them especially his cousin Nick hanych and his family in Allentown and his nephew Ron Samilo and his family who included him in all family gatherings and treated him like a father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” (Gontarchick) Honnage; a brother George, who was killed in France in World War II; and 2 sisters, Mary Solano and Kathryn Honnage.

Surviving is a son Robert and his wife Kathy, Pottsville; 2 grandchildren, Bradley and his wife Kelliee, Humble, Texas and Katrina and her companion Brad Reed, Tremont; 1 great grandson Nicholas Andrew who he just adored and looked forward to seeing him and talking on FACETIME; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kelly will be missed greatly.

Requiem Divine Liturgy will be at 11AM Thursday in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 415 Front St, Minersville Relative and friends can call at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday morning from 8AM until the time of the service. Interment, with military honors, will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Llewellyn. Arrangements are by the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer remembrances of Kelly be in the form of contributions to either the St. Nicholas Church Cemetery Fund or to a Charity of your choice. Gina M. Petrylak, 54, of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, September 12th , 2021 at her home.

Born in Shenandoah on February 15th, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Laudeman and her surviving mother, Joyce Chonski.

Gina was a 1985 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School then went to nursing school to become an LPN. She enjoyed cooking, softball, and watching football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.

Besides her father, Gina was preceded by 1 daughter, Patricia Jadus.

She leaves behind her husband of 19 years, John Petrylak, 1 son, Daniel Weisbeck of Ashland, 1 daughter, Casey Weisbeck of Ashland, 1 brother, John Hilbert of Shenandoah, 1 sister, Jamie Stevens of Frackville, also nieces and nephews.

No services will be scheduled at this time.

Michael D. Shade
, 43, of Pine St., Frackville, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at his residence. Born in Reading, September 4, 1978, he is the son of David and Sylvia “Suziee” Sterner Shade, of Hamburg. He was a graduate of Hamburg High School, class of 1997, and lastly worked for Boat and RV Sales, Hamburg, as a sales associate.

Survivors in addition to his parents:

Spouse: William Allsop, married 13 years, Frackville

Son: Chase Miller

Brother: David L. Shade Jr., and his wife Candi, Shartlesville
