Schuylkill County Band Festival Celebrates Michael F. Ryan's Induction into Hall of Fame

On Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, Michael F. Ryan was inducted into the Schuylkill County Band Hall of Fame at the 2024 Schuylkill County Band Festival held at Pine Grove Area High School. 

Ryan was presented the award by his former student and current Shenandoah Valley School District Director of Bands Mr. John P. Shoener. 

Ryan taught a combined 36 years in the Minersville Area, Bermudian Springs, and Pottsville Area School Districts before retiring in 2016. 

Started in 2019, the Schuylkill County Band Hall of Fame was designed to recognize former band directors that have made an impact on the school bands of Schuylkill County.

Ryan joins John F. Potlunas, Richard D. Fries, David R. Schmaldienst, and Craig N. Shoener in the Hall of Fame.
