Schuylkill Haven Woman Faces Charges for Assaulting Nurse at Hospital


A Schuylkill Haven woman is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after she allegedly assaulted a nurse at a hospital in Pottsville.

According to Pottsville Police, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, Pottsville Police were dispatched by County Communications to 700 East Norwegian St., Lehigh Valley Hospital, for a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, Police observed LVHN Staff attempting to restrain Brittany Pagliocca, 27 of Schuylkill Haven.

Police assisted in controlling Pagliocca who was attempting to bite a staff member. 

Investigation revealed that Pagliocca did strike a registered nurse once in the face and once in her chest area. 

The RN sustained pain and redness to the right side of her face.

Pagliocca was taken in custody and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Pagliocca was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Rossi who set Pagliocca’s bail at $25,000.00 straight. 

Pagliocca was unable to post bail and remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison.
