She was born on January 29, 1931 in Lykens, PA the daughter of the late Moses and Minnie (Deibert) Kessler in Hubley Township, PA.
She graduated in 1948 from Hubley Twp. High School and after that worked in shirt and shoe factories while attending beauty school. After graduation she owned and operated Leah's Beauty Salon, and retired as a receptionist from Dauphin County Personnel.
She married William D. Hollenbach in January of 1951.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William who passed in 1998, a son-in-law Wayne (Fritz) Miller, and siblings Ray and John Kessler, Mary Klinger, Eva Wiest, and Dora Mattern.
She is survived by her daughter Jane Miller of Millersburg, son William L. Hollenbach (Suzanne) of Mechanicsburg, grandchildren Amanda Miller, Nathan Hollenbach (Jayna), Joshua Hollenbach (Megan), great grandchildren Noah, Jace, Luna, and Moses Hollenbach, and many nieces and nephews.
Leah was a member of Zion Lutheran Church (Klinger's), Gratz Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening, geneaolgy, puzzles, and word games, but her most favorite had to be watching old-time movies and TV shows.
At Leah's request there will be no public formal service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Erdman.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman.
Arrangements are being cared for by the staff of Minnich Funeral. We are honored to serve this family at our Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg location.

Karen Lea Berkheiser, 65, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday, August 20th, at home.
Born in Pottsville on November 10, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Harold W. & Joan Reidler Berkheiser.
Karen was a 1977 graduate of Blue Mountain High School. She enjoyed playing softball during her younger years.
She graduated from LCCC as a dental assistant, and from Alvernia University where she earned her RN & BSN.
Karen had been employed by Zeller’s Market, Dr. Kempes’ Office as a dental assistant, and by Hazleton Hospital as a nurse. She was last employed by the VA Hospital in Wilkes Barre as an RN.
Karen was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn.
She enjoyed crafting, watching the Phillies, taking care of her chickens, and vegetable gardening, but above all else, she loved spending time with her family. Karen was a very caring person and was an exceptional caretaker for her parents for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Harold R. Berkheiser, husband of Janis, Lebanon, sister, Linda Honyara, wife of Frank, Schuylkill Haven, nephews: Aaron Honyara, & Evan Berkheiser, husband of Christy, niece, Kaitlyn Miele, wife of Cody, great-niece, Olive Berkheiser, and great-nephew, Dutch Miele.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 26th at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Summer Hill, Auburn with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.
Interment will be held privately.
The family prefers remembrances in Karen’s memory in the form of contributions to St. Paul's UCC Summer Hill, 1235 Summer Hill Rd., Auburn PA 17922.

Patricia (Patty) A. Kubeika, 68, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia on June 1, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Annette (Minnich) and Joseph Tomlinson.
Patty recently marked 50 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Michael Kubeika.
A 1975 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, she earned an Associate’s Degree from Schuylkill Technology Center in Frackville.
Patty dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughters, Jaime Kubeika (married to Bill Zachowicz) of Cressona and Jennifer Kubeika of Pottsville; and granddaughter, Kyra Hubler of Pottsville.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, brother William “Bill” Tomlinson, and sister Annette Lubas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, PO Box 332, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
Private services and interment will be held at the family’s convenience.

Born in Branch Township on Sunday, January 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Carl Sr. and Bernice Lavenburg Neidlinger.
He attended Porter Tower High School and was of the Lutheran Faith.
Carl held various jobs throughout his life. He was a heavy equipment operator for Manbeck Dredging, and he also worked as a miner. Carl owned his own off road shop business.
He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman. Carl could always be found hunting, fishing, or camping. He also enjoyed racing and going off roading.
In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Neidlinger, 2010; two sisters, Muriel Matter and Denise Koperna.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Flick Ringler Neidlinger; five children, Michele Bixler (Jerry), Elizabethville, Theresa Nebroski (Ray), St. Clair, Francis Neidlinger, St. Clair, Carl Neidlinger III (Deb), Forestville, and Deron Shutt (Lucy), Donaldson; two stepchildren, Sharon Underkoffler, Gratz, and Shelley Gestl (Erin), Palmyra; a brother, Edmund Neidlinger (Beth), Pine Grove; a sister, Kathryn Wenrich (Charles), Tower City; ten grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great stepgrandchildren
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11. Carl will be laid rest in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.

Janet Doris Erbe, 81 of Lansford passed away peacefully August 19, 2025 at the Greenwood Nursing Center in Tamaqua, PA.
She was the loving wife of the late Charles C. Erbe, who passed away in 2018.
Born September 24, 1943 in Palmerton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Halko) Hill.
Janet was Christian by faith. She enjoyed watching T.V. and doing crossword puzzles.
Surviving are her children: Lori L., wife of Kevin L. McLaughlin of Lansford, Charles C. Erbe Jr., of Coaldale, PA and Brian, husband of Amy (Terry) Erbe of Lansford, PA.
Also surviving are her grandchildren: Ashley McLaughlin and Brittany McLaughlin both of Lansford; sister Geraldine Steigerwalt and brothers: Eddie Hill of Tamaqua and Woodie Hill of Frackville.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Chrissy Erbe.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
