The incident occurred just before midnight when a Dodge Charger traveling west on Main Street collided with a Jeep that was occupied by a driver and continued on to hit several parked vehicles. The driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital with injuries that have not yet been detailed.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the Charger had been moving at a very high rate of speed before the crashes.
Police from Frackville, Butler Township, and West Mahanoy Township responded to the scene and detained the driver. The Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
Main Street was closed for approximately 2 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.z
